Thomas is identified as being a plumber in the 1840 marriage record of his son Thomas.
In the 1851 census there is a Thomas Pike (age 61, married, born at Bristol, and a plumbers labourer) listed as a patient at St Peters Hospital. Also note that a Thomas Pike died 23 Nov 1851 (Holy Trinity church) at age 63. |

There is a marriage at St James Bristol on 27 July 1840 between
Thomas Pike (22, bachelor, sawyer, of Horse Fair, son of Thomas Pike (plumber))
and Mary Gale (22, spinster, servant, of Horse Fair, daughter of Thomas Gale (currier)).
Witnesses were Sarah Offer and James Hudson.
The 1841 census lists the following at Gulledges, St Pauls, Bristol, Gloucestershire: Thomas Pike 20 Labr born in the county Mary Pike 20 born in the county There is a death registration in Q2 1846 at Bristol for a Thomas Pike (Vol 11, Page 116). There appears to be a marriage registered in Q2 of 1850 in the Llandovery district between a Ferdinand PHILLIPS and Mary PIKE. The 1851 census lists Ferdinand PHILLIPS (age 32, born at Swansea) and wife Mary (age 29, Bristol) along with children Edward PIKE (age 7, Bristol) and Thomas PIKE (age 4, Bristol). The 1861 census lists a Mary Ann PHILLIPS (age 39) in Bristol along with a son Thomas (age 15, born at Bristol).
