Subject: Pike DNA Project - Big Y Results

Hi everybody.

This email message is deceptively short, because most of what I want to
say isn't actually in this message. Rather, I've put it into a webpage,
in which an analysis of the Big Y test results for our project are
discussed. It's a long and detailed discussion, so let me say here what I
think the main take-away points are:

1. The Big Y test has the power we need to reconstruct Pike family trees,
even in the absence of historical records.

2. It can also give us insight into how old our Pike families are (and for
our "Group 2" from eastern Newfoundland there's a significant
    revelation).

3. We need more people to do the Big Y test.

The direct link to the webpage with the details is here:

Thanks,

- David (dapike@mun.ca)
