This is the last Will and Testament
of Winifred Pyke of Great Somerford in the County of Wilts Widow
which I make in manner and form following I direct all my just debts
funeral and testamentary expences to be paid by my Executrixes hereinafter
named out of my personal estate And I give and bequeath unto each
of my Grand children Joseph Pyke Hanks Henry Hanks Josiah Hanks
Ann Hanks Elizabeth Hanks and William Hanks Sons and Daughters of my
late daughter Elizabeth deceased the late Wife of Josiah Hanks of Grittleton
in the County of Wilts Gentleman the sum of Two hundred pounds to be


paid to them respectively free of Legacy Duty on their attaining their respective
ages of twenty one years with interest in the meantime after the rate of 
three pounds per cent per annum by half yearly payments the first half 
yearly payment to be made at the expiration of six months after my
decease And I direct my said Executrixes to pay such interest as the
same shall become due and payable unto the said Josiah Hanks the 
father of my said Grand children whose receipts shall be a sufficient dis
charge and they my said Executrixes shall not be required or be responsible 
to see to the application of such interest And in case any or either of my
said Grandchildren shall depart this life under the age of twenty one
years without leaving lawful issue then I give the share or shares 
of such of my Grand children so dying to the survivors of my said
Grand children share and share alike But in case any of them my
said Grand children shall die leaving lawful issue then and in that 
case I give the share or shares of such of them so dying to his or her 
issue such Issue taking his or her parents share only And if more
than one equally between them All the rest residue and remainder 
impliments stock of cheese and all other my personal estate whatsoever
and wheresoever subject to the payment of my just debts funeral and
testamentary expences as aforesaid and also to the payment of the 
legacies hereinbefore given by this my Will I give and bequeath unto
my two daughters Mary Pyke and Frances Sophia Pyke share and
share alike as Tenants in Common for their absolute use and benefit and 
I do hereby appoint my said two daughters Executrixed of this my last
Will and Testament In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand 
this twenty third day of February One thousand eight hundred and
forty seven  Winifred Pyke  Signed and Declared by the said
Winifred Pyke as and for her last Will and Testament in the presence 
of us who in her presence at her request and in the presence of each
other have set our names as Witnesses thereto  B Pinniaer 
Solicitor Chippenham  Benjamin Barnes Great Somerford 

Proved at London 24th May 1851 before The Judge by the 
Oaths of Mary Pyke and Frances Sophia Pyke Spinsters the daughters
the Executrixes to whom Admon was granted having been first sw
by Comon duly to administer
