In the name of God Amen the Eleventh Day of July 1653 I William
Pyke of Swineshead in the County of Lincolne Taylor beinge sick in body but of PERfect memo:
rye (thankes bee to God) Doe make and Ordayne this my last Will & Testament in manner &
forme followinge heerby revokinge all former Wills And first and principally I bequeath
my Soule into the hands of Almighty God my Creator trusting to bee saved by the Merritts &
sufferinge of Jesus Christ my Redeemer and my body to ye Earth from whence it came
Also I Gyve & bequeath unto my kinsman Luke Curtis Tenne poundes to bee paid to him
within Twelve Moneths next after my Decease Also I Gyve unto my kinswoman Sarah
Pike Fyve shillings Also I Gyve unto my Sister Margery Sutton the wife of Phillipp
Sutton Tenne shillings Also I Gyve to Bridgett Coxall daughter of John Coxall Fower
shillings to bee paid within six moneths after my decease Also I Gyve unto Jane
Dikonson daughter of Mr Thomas Dikonson of Swineshead Twenty shillings to bee
paid within six moneths next after my decease Also I Gyve unto Mary my wife the
lease made to mee from Sr John Morley Kt of a Roode of Ground wherin I have built a
little house in Swineshead to hould to her duringe the terme of yeares therein yet to
come and unexpired (If shee so longe lyve) And if my said wife dye before thende of the said
Lease Then I Gyve the said Lease andall the yeares to come att the death of my said wife unto my
kinsman Luke Curtis All the residue of my Goods and Chattells debts and ready money not before
given and bequeathed my debts and legacyes beinge paid and discharged and my body decently
and orderly Interred I Gyve and bequeath to my lovinge wife Mary whom I make full & sole Execu:
trix of this my last Will and Testament In Witnesse wherof I have heerunto sett my
hand and Seale the day and yeare first above written William Pyke his marke Signed
Sealed Published and declared in the PREsence of Tho: Dickonson Thomas Morsell his
Marke Thome Hides his marke

This will was Proved at Westmr the Fourteenth day of September In the yeare
1653 Before the Judges for Probate of Wills and grantinge Administracons Accordinge
to an Act of Parliamt Entituled an Act for Probate of Wills and grantinge Administracons
By the Oath of Mary Pyke Relict & Sole Executrix To whom was Comitted the Admi-
nistracon of all and Singuler the Goods Chattells and Debts of the said Deceased Shee
beinge first legally Sworne faithfully to Administer the same
