In the Name of God Amen
I Robert Isaac Pyke Clerk Vicar of Chew Magna and
Dundry in the County of Somerset being of sound and
Perfect mind and memory (thanks to almighty God for the
same) Do make and Publish this my last will and 
Testament in manner and form following first I Give unto
my Daughter Elizabeth Dowling (the Wife of Mr John Dowling)
twenty pounds to be paid to her within one Month next
after my decease by my Executrix herein after named Item 
I Give Devise and Bequeath unto my beloved Wife
Rebecca Pyke all and singular the Rest of my real and 
					      personal


Personal Estate and    Goods Chattels and Credits of 
what nature or kind soever and wheresoever together
with all my Right Title Claim Interest benefit and
advantage which may arise or be derived either
from the next or any future Turn or Turns of
presentation to the living of the Vicarage of Chew
Magna and Dundry or to the Right of Presentation 
to the same or any other living or Benefice whatever
which I now am in possession of or by any way or
means intitled unto to hold to my said Wife in as
full large Ample and beneficial a manner as is in 
my Power lawfully to Give Devise or Bequeath the
same and all and every part and parcel thereof to
be wholly and fully at her disposal in such manner 
at such time or times and in such proportion or
proportions between my Children and Grandchildren 
or the survivors or survivor of them as she my said
Wife shall at any time or times hereafter think
proper to make direct limit and appoint either by
her last Will and Testament or by any other lawful 
and effectual Way or means Whatever And Lastly I
hereby Nominate Constitute and Appoint my said Wife
whole and sole Executrix of this my last Will and
Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set
my hand and seal the twenty second Day of 
May in the year of our Lord one thousand seven
seven hundred and eight four  Robt Isaac Pyke  LS
signed sealed published and declared by the said 
Robert Isaac Pyke the Testator to be his last Will
and Testament in the Presence of us who have
hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses at his
request in his Presence and in the Presence of each
other  Chris Budge  Edw Sheppard  E Chancellor

This Will was proved at London the thirteenth
day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand seven
hundred and eighty four before the Right Worshipful 
Peter Calvert Doctor of Laws Master keeper or Commissary 
of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by 
the Oath of Rebecca Pyke Widow the Relict of the 
deceased and sole Executrix named in the said Will to
whom Administration was granted of all and singular the Goods
Chattels and Credits of the said deceased having been first 
sworn by Commission duly to Administer
