The First Day of September In the Yeare of our Lord One
Thousand Six hundred and fiftie and six I Joseph Pyke Cittizen and
Vintener of London being sick and weake but of sound and perfect
memorie praised be God for the same Doe make and ordaine this
my last Will and Testament In manner and forme following 
And first I Committ my Soule into the hands of God my Creatour
and my Bodie to the Earth to be interred att the discretion of my 
Executors hereafter named And as for those Goods and Chattells Lands
Tenements and Hereditaments which it hath pleased God farr
above my deserts bestowed upon me I give and dispose the same in 
manner and forme following Imprimis my minde and meaning 
is That after my debts paid all my Goods and Chattells and 
personall Estate shall according to the Custome of the Cittie of 
London be devided into three equall parts The one part thereof to
be to the use of this my last Will one other part thereof to be given 
unto my Loving Wife Susanna Pyke and the other part thereof
to be equally devided betweene my Children att theire severall and
respective ages of one and twentie Yeares share and share like And 
as for my Lands Tenements and hereditaments which I have pur-
rchased I give and bequeath the same as followeth I give and bequeath
unto my sonne Joseph all that my Mannor of Little Cowley with
the Appurtenances in the Countie of Salopp To him and his
heires Item I give all that my Fee Farme rent of six and fiftie
pounds yearely issuing and payable out of the Tythes of O??esly
							in the sayd


In the said Countie of Salopp unto my sonne Thomas and his heires 
Item I give unto my daughter Christian All that Messuage Tenement or
Farme with The Appurtenances in the Parish of Prescott in the Countie 
aforesaid Item I give unto my said Daughter Christian all that my Tene-
-ment in Barnasby Streete now in the occupation of      Jones
a Felt maker unto her and heires Item I give unto my Daughter Mary
all those my Fee Farme Rents in the Countie of Stafford amounting
to the whole to Thirtie pounds fower shillings and six pence to her and 
heires Item my minde and will is that my said Wife shall have and 
inioy the full Third part of all my said Lands and Tenements during her
Life And if either of my said Children dye before they attaine theire
severall ages of one and twenty yeares or dayes of marriage Then the part
and portion of the partie soe dyeing shall be equally devided betweene
the Survivours Item I give unto Katherine and Susan my Wives
Daughters all those Goods and Chattells being in Two Dye houses scituate in
the Parish of Olanes in Southwarke Item I give and bequeath and my
minde and meaning is that after my debts satisfyed and funerall Charges
discharged all the said Third part reserved to the use of my last Will shall
be equally devided betweene my said Wife and Children share and share 
like Item I make and ordaine my Sonnes Joseph and Thomas Executors 
of this my last Will and Testament Item I make my Cousin Yeale and 
William Pridges Executors during the minoritie of my said Children 
In Witnesse whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seale The Day
and Yeare aforesaid Joseph Pike Sealed and delivered and declared to be
the last Will and Testament of the said Joseph Pyke by him the said Joseph
Pyke in the presence of Fra Bulfell William Nitkin William Brome

This will was proved att London the
Tenth Day of September In the Yeare of our Lord God One Thou
sand six hundred fiftie and six before the Judges for probate of Wills
and granting Administrations lawfully authorized by the oathes of
David  Yeale and William Bridges ioynt Executors in trust named in
the above written Will To whome Administration of all and singular the
Goods Chattells and debts of the said deceased was Committed they
being first Legally sworne truly and faythfully to administer the same
