24 September 1650 Will of Jone Pyke of St Giles in the Fields, Middlesex, widow (proved 7 April 1652)

The fowre and twentieth daie of September 1650 I Jone Pyke of the parishe of Saint
Giles in the Feilds in the countie of Midd widowe being sicke in bodie but of perfect minde
and memorie praise be therefore given unto allmightie God doe make and declare this my
last will and testament in manner and forme followeing That is to say First and principally
and above all earthly things I comend my soule into the hands of allmightie God my Creator
and to his Sonne Jesus Christ my onlie Saviour and redeemer by the meeritts of whose most
bitter death and painfull passion I assured by trust to be saved and have remission for all my sins
And my bodie I bequeath to the earth from whence it came to be buried in christian buriall And
as touching such temporall goods wherewith the Lord hath endowed mee I order and dispose
thereof as followeth Imprimis I doe will order and devise that my executor hereafter named shall
satisfie and paie unto Ralph Abbot Cerke the some of fourescore poundes of lawfull money
of England which I doe owe unto him by bond Item doe will order and devise that my sonne
William Hill gentleman shall have take and receave all such some and somes of money as 
to mee are due oweing belonginge or appertayninge by anie waies or meanes whatsoever 
or howsoever And I doe hereby make my said sonne William Hill executor of this my last
will and testament And I doe hereby will order and devise that my said executor shall satisfie
and all such other debts which I doe owe unto any person or persons whatsoever by anie 
waie or meanes whatsoever and shall also beare paie and discharge all such chardges
as shalbe expended disbursed and laid forth in and aboute my Funerall and doe holde
this and none other for my last will and Testament In witnes whereof I the

said Jone Pyke to this my last will and testament have sett my hand and seale dated the daie and
yeare first above written Jone Pyke her marke Read signed sealed and as the last will
and testament of the said Jone Pyke published and delivered in the presence of Anthony Crow

Doctor of Lawes and surrogate of the right wor?? Sir Nathanell Brent ??? also Doctor of 
Lawes Master or keeper of the Prerogative Courte The seaventh daie of Aprill in the yeare of 
our Lord God one thousand sixe hundred Fiftie and two By the oath of William Hill the executor
therein named To whome was comitted administracon of all and singuler the goods chattells and
debts of the said deceased Hee being first severall sworne ?????? truely to administer the same
