This is the last Will and Testament of me John Pyke of No 2 Brownlow Street Holborn I give and bequeath unto my dear wife all my Household Goods and Furniture of what kindsoever and also all my wearing apparel I also give her the Interest of the Sum of Four hundred pounds which I have in the four per Cents of the Bank of England and also the Money that I may have in my House at the time of my decease and whereas I have also three shares in the Insurance Office of Serjeants Inn Fleet Street which said Numbers when paid I desire may be laid out in the four per Cents Bank of England Stock which I Also give her the Interest of for her life and after her decease I give it to be equally divided between my two Sons John and Joseph share and share alike and I Also give her what Interest shall be due at the time of my decease of the Money I have in the Funds which is in the four and five per Cents And whereas I have also Twelve hundred pounds in the five per Cent which I give to be equally divided between my two Sons share and share alike the Interest of the said Twelve hundred pounds I also give unto my wife for the Maintenance of my Sons until my Son John comes of Age when the said Sum of Six hundred pounds shall be paid to him and the remainder Six hundred to be paid to my Son Joseph when he comes of Age witness this Thirteenth day of July 1801 John Pyke Whereas I am a Member of the Amicable Society held at the Bull Head in Bread Street Cheapside which Sum of Money I leave to my wife to pay for my Funeral Dated the 13th day of July 1801 2d March 1810 Appeared Personally Edward Poole of Serjeants Inn London Gentleman and Joseph Nathaniel Wells of the same place Gentleman and made Oath that they knew and were well acquainted with John Pyke late of Brownlow Street Holborn in the County of Middlesex deceased and also with his manner and Character of Handwriting and Subscription having seen him write and write and subscribe his Name and having with care and attention viewed and observed the paper writing hereunto annexed purporting to be and contain the last will and Testament with a Codicil annexed of the said John Pyke deceased and which said will begins thus "This is the last Will and Testmaent of John Pyke of No 2 Brownlow Street Holborn" ends thus Witness this Thirteenth day of July 1801 and thus Subscribed John Pyke" and having between the fourth and Fifth lines from the bottom of such will the words my Son John interlined and the Name Joseph interlined between the second and third lines also from the bottom or conclusion of such Will and the said Codicil in these words whereas I am a Member of the Amicable Society held at the Bulls Head in Bread Street Cheapside which Sum of Money I leave to my wife to pay for my Funeral dated the 13th day of July 1801 they these appearers do say that they verily and in their Consciences believe the whole series and Contents of the said Will and Codicil with the said words interlined in such to be all of the proper Handwriting and subscription of the said John Pyke deceased Edwd Poole Jos Nathl Wells same day the said Edward Poole and Joseph Nathaniel Wells were sworn to the truth of the above Affidavit before me C Coote Surr Prest W C Clarkson N P This Will was proved at London with a Codicil the 9th day of March 1810 before the Worshipful Charles Coote Doctor of Laws and Surrogate by the Oath of Mary Pyke widow the Relict of the deceased and the sole Executrix named in the said will according to the Tenor thereof to whom Administration was granted she having been first sworn duly to administer
