24 February 1798 Will of Henry Pyke of Manningford Bruce, Wiltshire (proved 3 September 1802)

I Henry Pyke
of Manningford Bruce in the County of Wilts Do
make Publish and declare this my last will and
Testament in manner and form following (that is
to say) First I will and desire that my debts and
Funeral Expences be paid and discharged Also I 
give and bequeath to my Brother Stephen
Pyke an Annuity of twenty pounds per Annum
to be paid Quarterly out of my Personal Estate
for his natural life Also I give and bequeath to
my Cousin Henrietta Edsall now of Oxford an
Annuity of ten pounds P Annum to be paid half


yearly for and during her natural life Also I give
and bequeath to my Brother John Pyke the Sum of 
two hundred pounds to be paid 
	within on year of my
	decease Also I give and
	bequeath to my Nephew
	Stephen Pyke the sum
	of eight hundred pounds
	to be paid
  when he shall have
attained the age of twenty one years if he dies before
arriving at that age having no Child Then I give
his Legacy of eight hundred pounds to his Sister
Jane Pyke Also I give and bequeath to my Niece
Jane Pyke the Sum of Eight hundred pounds to be 
paid when she arrives at the age of twenty one
years or on her marriage provided she marries with
the Consent of my Executor but if she should die 
before arriving at the age of twenty one years 
having no Child I then give her Legacy of eight
hundred pounds to her Brother Stephen Pyke in
Case both the said Stephen Pyke and Jane 
Pyke shall die before their having attained the 
ages of twenty one years and leaving no Child 
or Children then I give the said Sum of sixteen
hundred pounds to my Brother John Pyke his
Heirs or Executors and my Brother in Law John
Grant his Heirs or Executors to be equally divided 
between them I also nominate and appoint my
Brother in Law John Grant my sole Executor to
this my last Will and Testament to whom I give
and his Heirs after discharging the several
Annuities and Legacies herein mentioned and all
my Debts the rest and residue of my Estates and
Effects whatsoever and wheresoever  Henry Pyke LS
Signed Sealed Published and Declared this twenty
fourth day of February One thousand seven hundred
and ninety eight in the presence of us  Chs Alexander
Manningford Bruce   Thos Alexander Do

This Will was proved at London the third
day of September in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and two before the Right
Honourable Sir William Wynne Knight Doctor of Laws
Master Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative 
Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the Oath
of John Grant the sole Executor named in the said 
will to whom Administration of all and singular 
the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased
was granted having been first sworn by Commission duly to Admr
