I George Pyke now belonging to his Majesty's Ship Princess Amelia
Captain John Hemington Commander being in Bodily Health and of
sound and disposing Mind and Memory and considering the perils and
Dangers of the Seas and other uncertaintys of this Transitory Life Do for
avoiding Controversys after my Decease make publish and declare this 
my last Will and Testament in manner following That is to say First 
I recommend my Soul to God that gave it and my Body I commit to
the Earth or Sea as it shall please God to order And as for and
concerning all my Worldly Estate I give devise and bequeath thereof


as followeth That is to say All and singular such Wages Sum and
Summs of Money Lands Tenements Goods Chattells and Estate
whatsoever I do give devise and bequeath and bequeath the
same unto my welbeloved Wife Hannah And I do hereby
nominate and appoint the said Hannah Pyke sole and only
Executrix of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all
former and other Wills Testaments and Deeds of Gift by me at 
any time heretofore made And I do ordain and ratify these presents 
to stand and be for and as my only last Will and Testament In
Witness whereof to this my said Will I have hereunto set my
Hand and Seal the Twenty firstday of August 1741 and in the
fifteenth year of the Reign of his Majesty King George the
second by the Grace of God over Great Britain &c The Mark
of George Pyke Sign'd seald published and declar'd in the presence
of J Hemington Mat Ratsey John Mitchell Capts Clerk

This Will was proved at London the Thirtieth day
of September in the Year of Our Lord One Thousand seven hundred 
and Forty one Before the Worshipfull Robert Chapman Doctor of 
Laws Surrogate to the Right Worshipfull John Bettesworth also
Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative
Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted By Hannah Pyke Widow &
the Relict of the Deceased and sole Executrix in the said will named
To whom was granted Administration of all and singular the Goods
Chattells and Credits of the said Deceased being first sworn duly to
administer the same
