In the name of God Amen The Thirteenth Day of 
November Anno Domini 1617 and in the Fifteenth yere of the raigne of our Soveraigne
Lord James by the grace of God now kinge of England &c I Edward Pyke of Malden
in the County of Essex Brewer beinge weake in bodie yet of good and perfect memory
(thanked be God) knowinge that all men are (by nature borne to Dye) Doe therfore
make publish and Declare this my last Will and Testament in writinge as followeth
First I Comend my soule into the hands of Allmightie God the Father the sonne
and the holy Ghost being PURswaded of the love and mercy of God in Jesus Christ my
onely Saviour and Redeemer for the PARdon of my synnes and for eternall life
reserved for me in the heavens And my body I Comitt to xpian buryall And
Concerning the things of this life wch I have to dispose my mynde and will
is therof as hereafter ensueth First I give unto Hester my welbeloved wyfe all
her wearinge apPARell lynnen and Rayment And I make and constitute the said


Hester sole and onely Executrix of this my Testament and last Will To wch said Hester I give
all my goods Chattalls leases houshouldstuffe movables implements of houshould and husban-
dry Cattell and Debts to me owinge and whatsoever ells I have or may dispose that is
Testamentary for and toward the Discharging and payment of my funerall and of
the Debts and somes of money wch I Do or shall owe at my Death so farre as the
same my goods and Chattalls uppon reasonable value wth the Debts to me owing wch
shall or may be gotten Receiped Recovered or come by shall reach and amount unto Sealed 
signed redd and published the Daye and yeare abovesaid in the presence of Edward Pyke
