6 August 1608 Will of Edward Pyke of London, citizen and poulterer (proved 15 August 1608)

In the name of God Amen the sixt daye of Auguste one
thousande sixe hundred and Eight in the yeres of the Raigne of or Soveraigne Lorde James by the
grace of god kinge of England France and Ireland Defender of the faithe &c the Sixt and of 
Scotlande the twoe and Fortithe I Edward Pyke Citizen and Poulter of London beynge 
whole in mynde and of good and perfect remembrannce (thankes be given unto god therfore)
Do ordayne make declare this my last will and testament in manner and forme folowinge yt
is to saye First I commende my soule unto the handes of Jesus xpiste beyng my alone Savyoure and
Redeemer and my body to be buryed in the parishe of Saincte Leonardes in Fishstreete Item I do give
and bequeathe unto my Sister Elizabeth Andrie tenne shillinges to be payed within sixe monethes
next after my decease Item I give and bequeathe unto my Sister Anne Parnell fyve shillings
to be payed within sixe monethes next after my decease Item I give unto my Sonne Richard
Twentie shillinges to be payed unto him at his lawfull age of one and twentye yeres
Item I give unto my Sonne Melchizedeke twentie shillinges to be payed unto hym at his
lawfull yeres of twentie and one Item I give unto my brother Richard Parnell my best 
hatt Item I give unto my brother Robert Allen my best cloake The whole Residue of all
and singuler my goodes chattells and moveables and unmoveable whatsoever not before given
or bequeathed in this my Will I give and bequeathe to my Wife Johane Pyke And I do appoynte 
ordayne name and make the saied Johane my wife my sole Executor of this my present testamente
and last will And I do make and appoynte Mechizedecke Bennet overseer of this my present 
Testament And I utterlie revoke all former willes executors and overseers In witnesse whereof 
I the saied Edward Pyke to this my present testament and last will have set my hande and
