This is the last Will and Testament of me Edward Pyke of the Parish of Saint Mary Magdalen Bermondsey in the County of Surry Gentleman made this twenty First Day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and Sixty Six that is to say after payment of my Just Debts and Funeral Expences I Give and bequeath unto the Trustees of the Charity School of Bermondsey aforesaid the sum of Twenty pounds for the use and benefit o the Charity Children belonging to the said School also I Give and bequeath unto the Trustees of the Charity School of Horslydown in the Parish if St John Southwark in the said County the sum of Twenty pounds for the use and benefit of the Charity Children belonging to the said school also I Give and bequeath unto the Trustees of the Charity School of Gravel Lane Southwark the Sum of Twenty Pounds for the use and benefit of the Charity Children belonging to the said School Also I Give and bequeath unto Thomas Plummer of the parish of Saint Clement Danes in the County of Middlesex woollen draper and Richard Harling of Red Cross Street London Grocer their Executors and administrators Five thousand pounds three and a half per Cent Bank Annuities 1758 and three Thousand pounds India Annuities and one thousand pounds Bank Stock upon Trust that they the said Thomas Plummer and Richard Harling or the Survivor of them or the Executors or Admors of such Survivor shall and do pay unto Thomas Blagrave (son of Thomas Blagrave deceased) so much of the Interest of the said several sums last mentioned as they shall think necessary untill he attains the age of Twenty one years and when he shall have attained the said Age my will is that my said Trustees shall and do then Assign and Transfer the said Five Thousand Pounds Three Thousand pounds and one thousand pounds unto the said Thomas Blagrave to and for his own use and benefit together with all Interest thereon then unexpended but if he shall happen to dye before he attains the said Age Then I Give and bequeath the said Five Thousand Pounds Three Thousand pounds and One thousand Pounds and all Interest thereon then due and unexpended unto and amongst the said Thomas Plummer Richard Harling Mary Price the Daughter of Mr Price of the Poultry London Surgeons Instrument Maker and Adam Smith of Reading in the County of Berks Brewer to be equally divided between them the said Thomas Plummer Richard Harling Mary Price and Adam Smith share and share alike Also I Give devise and bequeath unto the said Thomas Blagrave All that my Freehold Messuage or Farm House Barns Buildings Lands Tenements and Hereditaments with the appurtenances whatsoever there unto belonging scituate lying or being in or near the several Parishes of Wilmington and Sutton at Hone or either of them in the County of Kent and now or late in the Occupation of William and Robert Fanchion their assigns or undertenants Also I Give Devise and bequeath unto the said Thomas Blagrave All those my two Freehold Messuages or Tenements with the appurtenances whatsoever there unto belonging Scituate and being in or near Crutched Fryers London To have and to hold all and every the said Messuages Farm Lands Tenements Hereditaments and Premisses with their and every of their Appurtenances from and immediately after my Decease unto and to the use of the said Thomas Blagrave and the Heirs of his Body Lawfully to be begotten and for default of such Heirs I Give and Devise the said Freehold Estate and premisses in Kent unto the said Thomas Plummer and his Heirs for ever And I Give and Devise the said Two Houses in Crutched Fryers unto the said Richard Harling and his Heirs for ever Also I Give and bequeath unto the said Thomas Plummer Five Thousand Pounds three and a half per Cent Bank Annuities 1758 to and for his own use and benefit and I Give and bequeath unto the said Richard Harling Two Thousand Pounds South Sea Stock to and for his own use and benefit Also I Give and bequeath unto the said Adam Smith one Thousand Pounds South Sea Stock to and for his own use and benefit And I Give and bequeath unto the said Mary Price One Thousand Pounds South Sea Stock to and for her own use and benefit Also I Give and bequeath unto William Adams and Martha his Wife Prudence Davis Elizabeth Halsey ElizabethBedcott and John Crouch Ten Pounds a piece and I Give and bequeath unto Thomas Edsall Senior Twenty Pounds and unto Thomas Edsall Junior Tenn pounds Also I Give and bequeath unto my Servant Ann Lyons Fifty pounds if She shall be in my service at my decease and I Give and bequeath unto my Servant Ann Dixon Twenty Five pounds if She shall be in my Service at my decease Also I Give and bequeath the Lease of my dwelling House in the Grange Walk and all the Furniture in it of what kind soever unto the said Thomas Plummer Richard Harling and Thomas Blagrave to be disposed of as they shall judge proper and the produce thereof to be equally Divided between them Share and Share alike all the Rest Residue and Remainder of my Goods Chattels Stocks Funds Moneys Mortgages and Securities for Money and all other my Estate whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature Kind or Quality soever the same may be not by me already disposed of I Give devise and bequeath the same and every part thereof and all my Estate and Interest therein unto them the said Thomas Plummer Richard Harling and Thomas Blagrave to be equally Divided between them share and share alike and I do hereby make Constitute and appoint the said Thomas Plummer and Richard Harling joint Executors of this my will hereby revoking and making void all former and other Wills by me at any time heretofore made and I do declare these presents only to be and contain my last Will and Testament In witness whereof I the said Edward Pyke have to this my will contained in four Sheets ofPaper set my hand and Seal to the Fastening them together at the Top of the First Sheet the day and year First above written Edwd each other have subscribed our Names as Witnesses hereto John Jones of Bermondsey Farmer Charles Dickerson Servant to Mr Pyke M Drew of Bermondsey Attorney A Codicil to be added to accepted and taken as and for part of the last will and Testament of me Edward Pyke of the Parish of St Mary Magdalen Bermondsey in the County of Surry Gentleman which I duly made and published bearing date the Twenty First day of February Last Whereas I have in and by my said Will given and bequeathed unto Thomas Plummer and Richard Harling therein named Five thousand pounds three and a half per Cent Bank Annuities 1758 In Trust for Thomas Blagrave (son of Thomas Blagrave deceased) therein mentioned and whereas since my making and publishing my said Will I have given and advanced to the said Thomas Blagrave the Sum of Two Thousand Pounds to put him into Business Now my Will is and I do hereby declare that the said Sum of Two Thousand Pounds shall be deducted out of the said Five Thousand pounds Bank Annuitys and that the reamining three Thouas Pounds shall be paid and applied in the same manner as the said Five thousand pounds would have been in case this alteration had not been made and in all other respects I hereby ratify and Confirm my said will In witness whereof I have here unto set my hand and Seal this Eighth day of November in the year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and
