01 July 1831 Will of Sarah Pike of Clapham, Surrey, widow (proved 10 December 1832)

I Sarah Pike Widow of John Pike late of Clapham in Surrey declare this to
be my last Will and Testament this first day of July in the year of our Lord Jesus
Christ one thousand eight hundred and thirty one I give Joseph Lockhart my brother
in law of Wimbledon in Surrey all hte money standing in my name in the long
annuities in the Bank of England I give James Terry my nephew of Regent
Street Chelsea two hundred pounds standing in my name in the three pr ct consols
in the Bank of England and in case he dies before me I give it to be equially divided
between his children I give Ann Terry Widow of William Terry late of Wimbledon
in Surrey two hundred pounds standing in the above three pr cts consols in my name
and in case of her death before mine to her son and daughter I give three hundred
pounds standing in my name in the above three pr cts Consols to be equally divided 
between John Tower James Towers Mary Towers and Henry Towers sons 
and daughter of Mary and John Towers late of Wimbledon in Surrey I give to 
my respected and kind Doctor Mr John Pairot of Clapham one hundred pounds
standing in my name in the above three per Cts Consols as a small mark of regard
for his attention to me and mine I give to my God daughter Mrs Ellen Bell Wife of Mr
Bell of Belmont Terrace one hundred pounds standing in my name in the above
named three per cts consolidated and all my books I give to Mrs Cathne Palamet 
Widow of John Gwalter Palamet late of Reading Berks one hundred pounds standing 
in my name in the above three pr cts consols I give in trust to Mr Charles Willeter 
Tallow Chandler and Farmer and Mr John Loat Builder of Balaam Hill Surrey
to Sell out for the following purposes all the money standing in my name in the 
three pound ten shillings stock late four pr cts originally Navy five pr cts in the
Bank of England I give Mrs Thomas Loat Widow of Mr Thomas Loat late of nine
Elms Vancehall Surrey one hundred pounds and I give her Sister Miss Harriot
Hall twenty pounds And her Son Thomas Loat ten pounds I give my Sister in law
Mrs Harriot Terry Widow of Mr John Terry late of Wimbledon twenty pounds I give
Mrs Mary Haynes widow of Mr Richard Haynes late of Clapham ten pounds
I give Martha Hunt my Servant for her great attention to me in all my illnesses
one hundred pounds and all my Cloathes my watch and case the bed I sleep
on and three blankets belonging to it the bolster and two pillows 2 pair of 
Sheets and four pillow cases and my large bible in 2 Vol by the Refd Leonard
Howard I desire Mr Willeter and Mr Loat to pay all my debts testamentary 
Funerals and all expences they may be at on my account in settling my Affairs
And I do hereby appoint them my two Executors and give to the said Mr
								Willeter


Willeter and Mr Loat Fifty pounds each for their trouble 
and when all those are paid I give the Remainder of the money in this Stock
namely three pounds ten shillings late 4 pr cts originally navy 5 pr cts to be equally 
divided between Mr Burling of Stratford Essex and Mrs Spiers Widow now living at
No 2 ???an Court Upper Thames Street and in case of their death before mine to be
equally divided between their children I give to Mrs Martha Naish widow of Mr
Stephen Naish late of Wimbledon in Surrey the five hundred pounds standing in my
name in the three and a half pr cts in the Bank of England late four pr cts and further 
give her all my household goods plate linen and all and every thing that remains
belonging to me and I hereby appoint her my Residuary Legatee and in case of her 
death before mine I then give the same as here will'd to her to be equally divided 
between her two nephews James and Joseph Knight at Leeds in Yorkshire As
Witness my hand and seal this first day of July one thousand eight hundred and

Proved at London 10th Decr 1832 before the Worshipful John Danbury Doctor
of Laws and Surrogate by the Oaths of Charles Willeter and John Loat the Exors to 
whom Admon was granted having been first sworn duly to administer
