In the Name of God Amen
I Richard Pike of the Town and Port of New Romney in the County of Kent
Stationer being of sound and disposing mind and memory and understanding but
mindful of my mortality do make and publish this my last Will and Testament
in manner and form following that is to day first I desire to be decently buried by
my Executrixes hereinafter mentioned and after payment of my just debts funeral
expences and proving this my will are paid and discharged I give devise and be-
queath all and singular my estate and effects viz household furniture linen
China plate stock in trade ready money securitys for money with all other
properties of what kind and quality soever and wheresoever to me belonging
at my decease unto my two daughters Elizabeth Pike and Jane Pike Spinsters 
equally to be divided between them share and share alike to and for their
use and benefit absolutely and I do hereby ordain constitute and appoint my
said two daughters Elizabeth Pike and Jane Pike Spinster whole andsole Exe-
cutrixes of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former and
other Wills and Testaments by me at any time heretofore   left or made 
declaring ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last Will and


Testament In Witness whereof I have to this my last Will and Testament
set and subscribed my hand and seal this twentieth day of June in the year of
of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and nine  Richard Pike  LS  Signed sealed
published and declared by the said Testator Richard Pike as and for his last Will
and Testament in the presence of us who at his requeset in his presence and in the
presence of each other have subscribed our names as Witnesses John Vidgen
Wm Vidgen

Proved at London the 18th June 1823 before the Worshipful Charles
Codicil Dr of Laws & Surrogate by the Oath of Elizabeth Mate formerly Pike Wife
of Thomas Mate the daughter the surviving Extrix to whom Admon was granted 
having been first sworn duly to Admr


On the 7th day of
April 1866 Admon
with the Will annexed
of the personal Estate
and Effects of Richard
Pike late of the Town
and Port of New
Romney in the County 
of Kent Stationer
deceased who died on
the 17th day of March
1823 at the said Town
left unadministered
by Elizabeth Mate 
Widow formerly 
Pike Spinster deceased
whilst living the daughter 
the surviving Executrix
and surviving Residuary
Legatee named in the
said Will was granted
to Jane Elizabeth Todd (Wife of Frederick William Todd Esquire) the Daughter and Administratrix
of the personal Estate and Effects of teh said Elizabeth Mate deceased she having been
first sworn The said Elizabeth Mate having died intestate
