This is the last will
and Testament of me Peter Pike of Saint James
Haymarket within the Liberty of Westminster Liquor
Merchant which I make in manner following that
is to say I desire to be Interred at little Stanmore
in the County of Middlesex in the same manner
as my late Father was interred there I give unto
my wife Annabella Pike the Sum of twenty pounds
to be paid to her immediately after my decease together
with such part of my Household Furniture as shall
be suitable for furnishing a Setteing Room and Bed
Chamber for her own use absolutely and I give the
several other Legacies hereinafter mentioned (that is to say)

To Mr John Martin Hamberger of Panton Street
in the Parish of Saint Martin in the Fields within
the Liberty of Westminster Pewterer the Sum of Fifty
pounds to   Nephew Mr John Pike of Fur??alsd
Inn Holbern Gentleman the like Sum of Fifty pounds
to Mrs Ann Pike of Edgware in the County of
Middlesex widow Mother of the said John Pike
the Sum of twenty pounds and I give to each
of them the said John Martin Hamberger John
Pike and Ann Pike a Ring of the value of
two Guineas and I give to my three Sisters Sarah
Norris widow Jane Tarbox wife of Jeremiah Tarbox
of Tyler Street in the Liberty aforesaid Haberdasher
and Hester Horner widow and also to Miss ?????
Tims of Edgware aforesaid in the County aforesaid
Spinster her Sister Jane Tims Spinster and to Mrs ?????
Clark wife of Edward Clark of Bishopsgate Street
in the City of London pawn Broker a ring of two
Guineas value each and I give and bequeath
all the rest residue and remainder of my Goods
Chattels presonal Estate and Effects whatsoever and
wheresoever after payment of my Debts funeral
Expences and Legacies unto the said John Martin
Hamberger and John Pike their Executors admors
and assigns upon the Trusts following that is to
say upon Trust that they and the Survivor of
them his Executors or administrators do and shall
continue and place out at Interest all such my
residuary Estate and Effects ????????????????
Government securities or security in their or his
Names or Name and do and shall pay all the
Dividends and yearly Interest ???????en and
as the same shall from time to time become
payable unto my said wife Annabella Pike for
and during the Term of her natural life for her
support and maintenance and for that purpose
and in order to prevent ?????????????? herself
of such support I do declare my will to be that
she shall not have any vested or transmissable
Interest in the Dividends or Interest of my
said Residuary Estate beyond one half years
Dividend or Interest and not before or until the
same shall actually become payable and from
and after the decease of my said wife upon
Trust that they the said John Martin Hamberger
and John Pike or the Survivor of them or
the Executors or administrators of such Survivor
do and shall transfer and assign the principal
or Capital of my said residuary Estate and Effects
unto and amongst my said three Sisters Sarah Norris
Jane Tarbox and Hester Horner equally to be
divided between or amongst them share and share
alike as Tenants in common and not as Joint
Tenants But in case any one or more them 



shall die in the life time of my said wife then my
will is that the share or shares of her or
them so dying shall go to the Survivors of
them share and share alike and if only one of
my said Sisters shall survive my said wife then and
in that case I give the whole of my said residuary
Estate to such only Survivor and I do hereby
Nominate constitute and appoint the said John
Martin Hamberger and John Pike Executors of
this my will and hereby revoking all former wills
by me at any time heretofore made do declare
this alone to be my last will and Testament
In witness whereof I the said Peter Pike the
Testator have to this my last will and Testament
set my Hand and Seal the fourteenth Day of
September in the thirty Ninth year of the reign
of our Sovereign Lord George the third by the
Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland
King Defender of the Faith and so forth and in
the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred
and Ninety Nine Peter Pike LS Signed Sealed
published and declared by the said Peter Pike
the Testator as and for his last will and 
Testament in the presence of us who at his desire
and in his presence have hereunto subscribed our
Names as witnesses  Wm Hold Hay Market  Orlando
Worrook Jaman Street St James

This Will was proved at London the
Nineteenth Day of November in the year of our
Lord one thousand seven hundred and Ninety
Nine before the Worshipful John Sewell Doctor
of Laws Surrogate of the Right Honorable Sir
William Wynne Knight also Doctor of Laws
Master Keeper or or Commissary of the Prerogative
Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the
Oaths of John Martin Hamberger and John
Pike the Nephew of the deceased and the
Executors named in the said will to whom
administration was granted of all and singular
the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased
having been first Sworn duly to administer
