This is the last Will and Testament of
me Michael Pike of Number   Upper Hosier Street Reading in
the County of Berks Chimney Sweeper I direct all my just debts funeral
and testamentary expences to be fully paid and satisfied I give and
bequeath unto my dearwife all my household goods furniture plate
linen and china for her own user and benefit and I desire that the
business now carried on by me shall be carried on after my decease for
the benefit of my said Wife and my son Samuel Pike And as to
all the rest and residue of my property of what nature or kind soever
whether real or personal in possession reversion remainder or
expectancy I give devise and bequeath the same unto my dear wife
Maria Pike her heirs executors administrators and assigns abso-
utely for ever And I appoint my said Wife Maria Pike Sole Executrix
of this my Will and I declare this alone to be and contain my last
Will In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this thirtieth
day of November one thousand eight hundred and fifty three
Michael Pike  Signed anddeclared by the said Michael Pike
the testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of
us who in his presence at his request in the presence of each other and
present at the same time have hereunto subscribed our naems as
witnesses  William Hedges  Oxford Street Reading  William
Huggins  Hosiers Street

Proved at London 23rd Novr 1854 before the Worshipful Samuel
Jewkes Wambey Doctor of Laws and Surrogate by the oath of Maria
Pike Widow the relict the sole Executrix to whom admon was granted
having been first sworn duly to administer
