22 November 1783 Will of Maria Pike of St Mary Islington, spinster (proved 13 May 1784)

The last Will and Testament 
of me Maria Pike Spinster of the Parish of Saint Mary
Islington made by me this twenty second day of November 
in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred
and eighty three Whereas I am legally possessed of
One third share of a Freehold Estate situate in Hoxton
Square in the Parish of St Leonard Shoreditch the
whole Estate Consisting of a House and Garden in the
Occupation of Fassett at the yearly Rent of twenty eight
pounds Now I do by this my last Will and Testament 
give devise and bequeath my said one third share of
the premisses after paying all Money borrowed thereon
to my Nephew Ezra Livermore son of my decease sister
Elizabeth Livermore when he my said Nephew shall marry 
or shall attain the full age of twenty one years which of
them shall first happen to him and his Heirs for ever

during the minority of my said Nephew my mind and
will is that the clear rents and profits of my said one
third share of the premisses shall be laid out on his 
maintenance and education in case my said Nephew
Ezra Livermore shall die unmarried before he attains
the full Age of twenty one years then I Give devise and
bequeath my said one third share of the premisses to my
other Nephew Samuel Pike Livermore son of my said
deceased Elizabeth when he my said Nephew Samuel 
Pike Livermore shall marry or shall attain the full Age
of twenty one years which of them shall first happen
to him and his Heirs for ever and during the minority
of this my said Nephew my mind and will is that
the clear rents and profits of my said one third share
of the premisses shall be laid out on his maintenance
and Education In case this my said Nephew Samuel
Pike Livermore shall also die unmarried before he attain
the full age of twenty one years then I Give devise
and bequeath my said one third share of the premisses 
to my Niece Susanna Bedder Daughter of my deceased Sister Sisanna Bedder when she my said Niece 
Susanna shall marry or shall attain the full Age of
twenty one years which of them shall first happen to her 
and her Heirs for ever in case my said Niece Susanna
shall also die unmarried before she attain the full age of 
twenty one years then I Give and bequeath my said 
one third share of the premisses to my Brother in law
Ezra Livermore and his Heirs for ever my personal
Estate and Effects I dispose of as follows my mind and
will is that all my Just debts and the expence of my
Funeral of proving this my Will be first discharged 
then I Give to my Widow Aunt Rebecca Smith five
Guineas to be paid her as soon as may be after my
decease I Give to my brother in law Ezra Livermore 
before named ten Guineas In Trust to manage at
his discretion for the benefit of his son Samuel Pike
Livermore before named my mind and will is that 
all my wearing Apparel Plate Rings China Ware
and Locketts be given to my said Niece Susanna
Bedder and my widow Aunt Rebecca Smith my
mind and will is that what Money shall arise from
the Sale of my Household Goods and from debts due
to me and from all the rest and residue of my Estate 
and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever (after paying my
funeral Expences and Legacies aforesaid) be managed
by my Executors at their discretion for the benefit of
my two Nephews aforesaid Samuel Pike Livermore and
Ezra Livermore during the Joint lives of my said two
Nephews and if  one of those Nephews shall die before
the whole be expended the remainder shall be managed
for the benefit of the Surviving Nephew I constitute and
appoint my said Brother in law Ezra Livermore and
my friend Dr George Sandeman Executors of this my last


will and Testament and I Give each of them five
Guineas for his trouble And I do hereby revoke and
make void all former will by me heretofore made

This Will was proved at London the thirteenth
day of Mary in the year of our Lord one thousand
seven hundred and eighty four before the Worshipful
Andrew Coltee Ducarel Doctor of Laws Surrogate of the
Right Worshipful Peter Calvert also Doctor of Laws Master
Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury
lawfully constituted by the Oaths of Ezra Livermore 
and George Sandeman Doctor of Physic the Executors
named in the said will to whom Administration was
granted of all and singular the Goods Chattels and
Credits of the deceased they having been first sworn
duly to administer
