I Jonathan Pike of St Paul Deptford in the County of Surry
victualler being of sound and disposing Mind Memory and under
standing do make this my Last Will and Testament in manner
and form following (that is to say) my Will is that I be buried
at the discretion of my wife Elizabeth Pike and after payment
of the Charges and Expences Debts and Legacies I then give and
bequeath unto my said beloved wife Elizabeth Pike the following
Furniture &c vizt my best Bed Bolster two pillows two Blankets
Coverlid Bedstead and Hangings belonging thereto and one other
Bed Bolster two pillows two Blankets Coverlid Bedstead and 
Hangings two pair of my best sheets and two pair of pillow
Cases three of the best Table Cloths one silver Tankard with a Lid
my upright Silver Pint Mug Two Silver Table Spoons Seven Silver


Tea Spoons and Sufficient Furniture for one Room Item I Give my
Son Jonathan Pike all the Remainder or residue of my Silver Plate
watches Sheets Table Linnen and all my wearing Apparel Item I 
Give and Devise all the remainder of my Estates Freehold Leasehold
or other Effects whatsoever unto Henry Edmonds of Saint Paul
Deptford in the County of Surry Gardener and James Pike of Saint 
Nicholas Deptford Carpenter and their Heirs In Trust to pay and apply
the neat yearly Rents Interest and Profits unto and for the Maintenance
and Support of my said loving Wife Elizabeth Pike during her 
natural Life or so long as she shall remain my widow and no
longer (reserving two hundred pounds thereout) which In Trust I
Give to my said Trustees their Executors &c the Interest thereof for
the use of my Son Johnathan Pike to find him in Cloaths and
other necessarys untill he shall have attained the age of twenty
one years Item after my Son Jonathan Pike shall have fully
attained the Age of Twenty one years my will is that the Interest 
of the said Two hundred pounds shall immediately devolve 
unto my said wife Elizabeth Pike to be paid unto her for her
better Maintenance and support during her natural Life as
long as She Continues my Widow (with this Exception) that in 
Case my said Son Jonathan Pike shall enter into Business
then my will is that the said Two hundred pounds principal
shall be immediately (or as soon as can be) raised out of any
of my Freehold Leasehold or Estates in the Funds as shall
seem most Convenient to my said Trustees and paid unto my
said Son towards his Support on his Entring into Business 
Item my Will is that immediately after my said Wifes decease or
Marriage (which shall First happen) I Give all my said Freehold
Leasehold and Personal Estates whatsoever as likewise all
Moneys in the publick Funds that I shall at that time be
therein vested of unto the said Henry Edmonds and James Pike
In Trust that they pay and apply the said Rents and Interest 
for the Support Maintenance and Interest of my said Son
Jonathan Pike untill he shall have attained the Age of 
Twenty one years and on my said Sons being of the said Age
of Twenty one years (my said Wife being Married or Dead) Then
in Trust that my said Trustees shall pay Transfer Surrender and
account (for all my said Estates whatsoever) to and with my said 
Son Jonathan Pike (having all just allowances made them
for expences together with twenty shilling each for their
trouble) and Lastly I do hereby make Constitute and appoint 
the said Henry Edmonds and James Pike joint Executors of this
my Last Will and Testament hereby revoking and making void 
all former and other Will and Wills by me heretofore made
declaring these presents to be and Contain my only Last Will
and Testament In Witness whereof I the said Jonathan Pike
have hereunto set my hand and seal this Twenty Eighth day of
Frebruary One thousand Seven hundred and Seventy one  Jonathan
Pike  Signed seal published and declared by the said Jonathan
Pike the said Testator as and for his Last Will and Testament
in the presence of us who in his presence and at his request 
have Signed our Names as witnesses hereto  Anthony Smith

On the Fifteenth day of January in the year of our Lord one
thousand Seven hundred and Seventy three Administration with the
will annexed of all and singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of Jonathan
Pike formerly of the Parish of St Paul Deptford in the County 
of Surry but late of the Parish of St James in the Devizes 
in the County of Wilts deceased was granted to Elizabeth Pike widow
the Relict of the said deceased and Residuary Legatee during her widowhood named
in the said will She having been First sworn duly to administer
Henry Edmonds and James Pike the Executors and Residuary
Legatees in Trust named in the said will having first renounced
as well the Execution thereof as Letters of Administration with
the said will annexed ofthe said Goods of the said deceased
