In the Name of God Amen
I John Pike of Aldbourn in the County of Wilts
Gentleman being of sound disposing mind
memory and understanding thanks be given to 
God for the same and being mindful of my
mortality do make and ordain this to be my
last Will and Testament in manner and form
following first I will that all my just debts funeral
and testamentary Charges be paid and discharged
by my beloved Wife Ann Pike who I constitute and
appoint sole Executrix of this my last will and
Testament and I give and bequeath to my
belove Wife Ann Pike all the interest of my
property Goods and Chattels of what kind soever I
shall leave at my death should she my said
beloved Wife Ann Pike survive me but should 
she my beloved Wife not survive me then I appoint
my two daughters Nanny Wife of William
Moulding and Mary Wife of William Read joint
Executrixes of this my last Will and Testament and
I appoint my friend Thomas May of Aldbourn
aforesaid Farmer and Maltster and my nephew
William Pike of Great Bedwin in the County of Wilts
Baker and Maltster Trustees to this my last Will and
Testament And I will that my beloved Wife Ann
Pike do and shall keep and maintain my son John
Pike out of the Interest of my property for and
during her natural life which my said son John
Pike being a lunatic or an Idiot and at the 
decease of my beloved Wife I give to my said son
John Pike out of my funded property the sum of 


one pound per week for his support during his
natural life if my friend Thomas May and my
nephew William Pike shall direct and I give
and bequeath to my said son John Pike the bed
and Bedstead Blankets and sheets thereunto 
belonging on which he now lies and all things
appertaining thereunto together with an Arm
Chair which I make use of in the Kitchen and
the Arm Chair he now uses and I give to my
friend Thomas May and my nephew William
Pike the sum of five pounds each to be paid to 
them immediately after my decease And I give 
and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth Wife of
Mark Brown the sum of one hundred pounds to
be paid to her by my Executrix or Executrixes
and trustees in six months after my decease and
to my son in law Mark Brown all the debt 
he owes to me on what account soever And I
give and bequeath to my Grandson William
Church Bunce natural son of my said daughter
Nanny Moulding at the decease of my beloved
Wife Ann Pike the sum of two hundred pounds of
good and lawful money of Great Britain to be
put to the best use my trustees shall think best for
his Advantage and the Interest to be kept and put
to use till he my said Grandson William Church
Bunce arrives at the full Age of twenty one years
and then principal and Interst to be paid by my
said Trustees to him the said William Church Bunce
to hold to him his Executors Administrators or Assigns
for ever  and I will that after the decease of my beloved
Wife Ann Pike the one half part or moiety of 
all the rest residue and remainder of all my Goods
and Chattels money and property I give in trust to
my said friend Thomas May and my said
nephew William Pike to be put in some fund
under Government security or mortgage or 
purchase on free hold estate the Interest to be for
the use and maintenance of her my said daughter
Mary Read during her natural life and at her
decease to go Principal and interest to such of
her Children as shall be then living equall
share and share alike when they arrive at 
the age of twenty one years to their own and
proper use and benefit and so as not to be in any
wise subject to the power or Controul debts or Engagements
of any husband whatsoever and that the receipt 
or receipts of the said Mary Read alone for what 
shall be paid to her from time to time for or in 
					respect


respect of the said dividends and interest shall
notwithstanding her Coverture or Covertures be
good and sufficient discharges to the said Thomas
May and the said William Pike their Executors
and Administrators  and my Will is that at the
death of my said son John Pike I give and
bequeath to my said daughter Elizabeth wife
of the said Mark Brown out of the funded
property that I have given for the support
of my said son John Pike the sum of three
hundred pounds and to Thomas May I give
out of the said funded property the sum of 
ten pounds and to my nephew William Pike
the like sum of ten pounds and the remainder
of the said funded property to be equally divided 
between my other two daughters who I have
appointed joint Executors namely Nanny wife
of William Moulding and Mary wife of William
Read and further my Will is that if my said
son John Pike shall not survive my beloved 
wife Ann Pike then she my said beloved wife
Ann Pike shall enjoy all the said funded 
property for and during her natural life the
same as if he my said son John Pike was 
living and I will that after my decease if my
said beloved Wife Ann Pike shall save out of 
the itnerest of my property any sum that she
may do and dispose of it as she may think fit 
and to whomsoever she will and whereas
I have given in trust to my daughter Mary
Read one half part or moiety of all my
property not before disposed of so I give unto my
said daughter Nanney wife of William Moulding
the other half part or moiety which is not 
disposed of And lastly I do hereby revoke all
former wills by me at any time heretofore 
made and declare this only to be my last Will
and Testament in Witness whereof I the said
John Pike have to the two first sheets set my
hand to this my Will written and contained in 
three sheets of paper and have to this third
and last sheet thereof Signed my name and set
my seale this tenth day of February one thousand 
eight hundred and six  John Pike  LS  Signed
sealed published and declared by the said John Pike
the Testator as and for his last Will and Testament 
in the presence of us who in his presence and
in the presence of each other have subscribed our
names as witnesses  Daniel Liddiard  Thomas
Gwyn


This Will was proved at London on
the thirteenth day of July in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and seven
before the Right Honorable Sir William Wynne
Knight Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or
Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury
lawfully constituted by the Oath of Ann Pike
Widow the Relict of the deceased the sole 
Executrix named in the said Will to whom
Administration was granted of all and singular
the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased 
having been first sworn by Commission duly to
administer
