In the Name of God Amen
I Jabez Pike of Cross Street in the Parish of St Mary Newington in
the County of Surrey being of sound and sisposing mind and memory do make
publish and deliver this to be my last Will and Testament in manner follow-
ing that is to say I order that all my just debts funeral expences and charge
of proving this my will be in the first place fully paid and satisfied after the 
payment thereof I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Harriett Elizabeth
Pike formerly Harriett Elizabeth Puller the whole of the interest and dividends
derived from funded and other property which I now have or may have at 
the time of my decease in the Books at the Bank of England or any other
Public Institution I also will and decree all my house property both free-
hold and leasehold for her use during her natural life but the principal 
shall remain unsold and at the decease of my said wife The rents dividends
and interest shall be collected and the whole of the property then to be disposed
of int he manner they think fit and divided equally between my four Children
Clara the wife of Robert Ward Turner Blue Anchor Road in the County of
Surry Walter William Oilman also of Blue Anchor Road in the County of
Surry Magdalene the wife of Henry Scholey Engineer of the Dover Road
Surry and Matilda Pike a Spinster or the survivors of them share and share
alike but if any of my said children should die before my wife leaving law-
??? issue then at the decease of my said wife the Child or Children of my
deceased Child shall receive that part of the principal of my funded property
which would have been the share of the Parent if then living and if there
?? more than one Child shall divide it equally among them and if any of
such Grandchildren are minors at the time of the death of my said Wife their
share shall be reserved for them in the Public funds till of age and purchased
by my Executors for and in the name or names of such Child or Children I
likewise give and bequeath without any restriction to my said beloved wife
the residue or remainder of all my property real or personal of whatever
description which I now have or may have at the time of my decease believ-
ing that she will act as a just and Affectionate mother to my Children and
for the due performance of the whole and every part thereof I make constitute
and ordain my beloved wife Harriett Elizabeth Pike with my eldest daughter
Clara Ward Executrix and my son Walter William Pike jointly with them
Executor of this my last will and Testament and I do hereby revoke and dis-
allow all former Wills at any time made by me and ratify this and no other 
as my last will and Testament In witness whereof I have hereunto set my
hand and seal this twenty third day of March in the year of our Lord one

ment in the presence of us who in his presence and in the presence of each

Proved at London 17th July 1855 before the Worshipful George Edward
Hughes Doctor of Laws and Surrogate by the Oaths of Harriett Elizabeth
Pike widow the Relict and Walter William Pike the son two of the
Executors to whom Admon was granted having been first sworn duly to
Administer Power reserved of making the like grant to Clara Ward (wife
of Robert Ward the daughter the other Executor when she shall apply 
for the same
