This is the last Will and Testament of me
Ives Pike of the Parish of Saint Lawrence in the City of Exeter
widow I give & bequeath unto my daughter Ives Jarvis widow 
the sum of one hundred and fifty pounds to be paid her by my
Executrix hereinafter named within twelve months next after my
death also I give and bequeath the sum of one hundred and fifty
pounds unto John Algar of Starcross in the County of Devon coal
Merchant and John Gliddon of Saint Lawrence in the City of Exeter
plane maker their Executors admors and assigns upon the trusts and
subject to the powers and provisoes hereinafter mentioend that is
to say upon trust that they the said John Alger and John Gliddon &
the survivor of them and the Executors admors and assigns of such
Survivor shall and do pay the interest of the said Sum of one 
hundred and fifty pounds to my daughter Susan Meehan wife
of Charles Meehan Lieutenant in the seventy seventh regiment


of Foot or otherwise empower her to receive the same for her own
sole use separate and apart from her said husband and the 
receipts of my said daughter shall from time to time be effecive 
discharges for the same notwithstanding her Coverture during the 
life of teh said Charles Meehan and from and after his death to pay
unto my said daughter the said principal sum of one hundred and
fifty pounds 
  but in case my said
  Daur shall happen
  to die before the said
  Charles Meehan
  that then my said
  Trustees shall stand 
  & be possessed of the
  said Sum of one
  hundred & fifty pounds
    in trust for all and every the child and children of my
said Daughter equally to be divided between them share and share
alike when they shall respectively attain the age of twenty one
years or the same or any parts thereof together with the interest 
thereof to be sooner disposed of and applied for his her or their 
preferment or advancement in the world in such manner as the said
trustee or trustees for the time being shall think fit and that in 
case any of the said Children shall die before he or they shall attain
the age of twenty one years then the surviving share or shares of
such child or children or so much thereof as shall not have been
disposed of shall be payable to the Survivor or survivors and further 
it shall be lawful for my said Trustees or the survivor of them his
Executors admors or assigns to invest or lay out the said Sum of 
one hundred and fifty pounds on real or Government securities as
they shall think fit provided also that my said trustees shall not be
answerable the one for the other nor for any loss that may happen
to the said trust monies or any part thereof in the execution of the
aforesaid trusts except the same shall happen by his or their wilful
default and all the rest residue and remainder of my Goods Chattells 
monies and securities for money personal Estate and Effects what
soever and wheresoever subject to the payment of my just Debts funeral
Expences and legacies hereinbefore given I give and bequeath the
same and every part thereof unto my Daughter Sarah Pike her Exors 
admors and assigns to and for her and their own use benefit &
disposal and do nominate and appoint the said Sarah Pike Executrix 
of this my last will and Testament hereby revoking all former wills
by me heretofore made In Witness whereof I the said Testatrix have
to this my last will and Testament contained in two sheets of paper
to the first sheet set my hand and to this second and last sheet my
hand and seal this twenty third day of February one thousand eight
hundred and ten  Ives Pike  LS  Signed sealed published and
declared by the said Testatrix Ives Pike as and for her last will &
Testament in the presence of us who at her request in her presence 
and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names
as witnesses  Edwd Gattey  J R Kelland

Proved at London 10 June 1819 before the Judge by the oath of 
Sarah Pike spinster the daughter the sole Executrix to whom admon
was granted being sworn by Comon to admr
