10 April 1799 Will of Elizabeth Pike of Chilton Foliat, Wiltshire, widow (proved 20 January 1802)

I Elizabeth Pike
widow of Chilton Foliat Wilts being in perfect
health and soundness of Mind Do make this my
last Will and Testament this tenth day of April 1799
(Vizt) I give and bequeath unto Mr Thomas 
Viner Senr of Hungerford Berks Brandy Merchant 
and Mr John Hogsflesh of Chilton Wilts Mealman
all my Stock in the Bank long Annuities 
amounting to twelve Pounds a year standing in
my Name In Trust for the purposes hereinafter 
mentioned that is to say the Interest to be
received by the aforesaid Thomas Viner and John
Hogsflesh or either of them to be paid to my
Eldest son David Pike in equal weekly payments


at the discretion of the aforesaid Thos Viner and 
John Hogsflesh and it is my desire that if the aforesd
Thos Viner and John Hogsflesh finds that my Son
David Pike's Conduct should so alter and they think
proper then to let him have the Principal If not
then at the death of my said Son David Pike to revert to
his wife and Children should he hereafter marry
and in default of wife and lawful Children then to
be equally divided between my other children Viz
one fourth part to my son John Pike or his 
Heirs or Assigns one other fourth part to my Daughter
Elizabeth Higgs her Heirs or Assigns one other 
fourther part to my Daughter Mary Gower her
Heirs or Assigns & one other  part to my 
Daughter Sarah Sham her Heirs or Assigns and it
is my will and desire that my Household Goods and
Furniture of whatsoever kind I may die possessed of
after the payment of all my Just Debts and Funeral
Expences shall be sold and the produce thereof to
be placed out in the Bank Long Annuities with the
twelve Pounds a year standing in my Name as aforesd
is expressed And I do declare this to be my last will
and Testament revoking all former Wills by me 
made  hereunto I the said Elizabeth Piek do set
my name and Seal this tenth day of April One 
thousand seven hundred and ninety nine  Elizabeth

This Will was Proved at London the twentieth
day of January in the year of our Lord One thousand
eight hundred and two before the Worshipful Samuel
Pearce Parson Doctor of Laws Surrogate of the ???
Right Honourable Sir William Wynne Knight Also
Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or Commissary of the
Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted
by the Oaths of Thomas Viner the Elder and John
Hogsflesh the Executors named in the said will to whom
Administration of all and singular the Goods Chattels 
and Credits of the deceased was granted having been
first sworn duly to Administer
