The Twentieth Fift daie of May Anno domini One thousand six hundred Fortie
three I John Peeke the younger of Weeke in the parishe of Christchurch in the Countie 
of Southton husbandman beinge sicke in bodie but of perfecte mind and memorie thankes 
be to god doe ordaine and make this my last will and testament in manner and forme followinge 
First and before all things I bequeath my soule into the hands of Almightie God my maker &
to his Sonne Jesus Christ my onelie Saviour and redeemer And my bodie to the earth Item I 
give and bequeath unto my parishe Church of Christchurch Fortie shillings Item I give unto
the Poore of the said parishe of Christchurch six pound Item I give unto my mother Margarett
Bagby the wife of Richard Bagby the elder Twentie Shillings Item I give unto John
Peeke my brother five shillings and one acre of Rye And I give unto Avice his daughter Tenn
shillings and to either of his other three daughters Elinor, Alice, and Margarett Peeke Thirtie
shillings a peece when they come to bee of the age of one & twentie yeares Item I give unto his Son
Henrie Peeke my Godsonne Five poundes when he come to the age of one and twentie yeares 
Item I give unto Elinor the daughter of Henrie Warren my Goddaughter six Poundes when
shee come to bee of the age of one and Twentie yeares And to either of his other Foure children 
Richard William Margarett and Susan Warren three poundes apeece when they likewise come
to bee of the age of one and Twentie yeares And to Henrie Warren himself my brother in lawe
in his hand alreadie six shillings Item I give unto Richard Bugbie the younger my brother in
lawe Twentie shillings and to his two daughters Hester and Margarett Bugby Twentie 
shillinges a peece when they come to the age of one and Twentie yeares Item I give unto
Richard the Sonne of Vincent Bugby Twentie shillings when hee likewise come to bee of 
the age of one and twentie yeares Item I give unto my three Sisters in lawe Cicilie the wife 
of Richard Bugby Margarett the wife of John Peeke and Dorothy the wife of Vincent
Bugby Tenn shillings apeece Item I give unto Richard Bugby the elder my Father in lawe
tenn Shillings Item I give unto John Bugby and Margarett Bugby the sonne and 
daughter of my Brother John Bugby deceased twentie shillings a peece when they come to 
bee of the age of one and Twentie yeares Item I give unto John the sonne of Edward Gookey
my Godsonne Two shillings six pence Item I give to Michaell the sonne of Richard 
Warrwicke my Godsonne two shillings six pence All the rest of my goods both moveable 
& unmoveable and unbequeathed I give and bequeath unto unto Vincent Bugby whome 
I make my full and whole executor iustlie to performe my will accordinge to the true inent 
and meaneinge hereof And I appointe my Overseers to this my last will and testament my
beloved Freinds my Father in lawe Richard Bugby and my brother in lawe Richard 
Bugby Item I give unto my Brother John Peeke my Featherbedd John Peeke his
marke Wittnes John Calgill and Michaell Hake his marke
