We study a nonlocal population model in discrete periodic habitat. The explicit representation of the fundamental solution of the model is given, as well as
comparison principle, monotonicity and asymptotic behavior of solutions. When the nonlocal dispersal kernels are exponentially bounded, we show the existence
of asymptotic spreading speed and its variational characterization. And when the nonlocal dispersal kernels are exponentially unbounded, the accelerated
propagation phenomenon appears. Furthermore, if the nonlocal dispersal kernels meet additional two technical conditions, we conclude that the upper and lower
bounds of level sets of solutions, whose initial values are compactly supported, are sharp.
