Short Bio
My research focuses on machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, and medical imaging.
I received my PhD from Western University and held postdoctoral fellowships at the University of British Columbia
and the University of Toronto before joining Memorial University in 2011.
Editorial service:
Editor (Computational section), Scientific Reports;
Editorial Board Member & Associate Editor, Journal of Big Data (JOBD).
I am also serving as Guest Editor for the Scientific Reports Collection
Modeling and methods of population health and social change
.

Conferences and Sessions
I have been a co-organizer for sessions on the mathematics of
machine learning at Canadian Mathematical Society (CMS) bi-annual meetings:
Supervised Students
I have had the privilege of supervising and working with many talented students
across various levels of study, contributing to their growth and development in the fields of
mathematics, statistics, and computer science. Below is a list of students I have
had the honor of mentoring, along with their graduation years. If you are passionate about machine
learning, have a strong background in Math/Stats, and would like to work with me please do reach out.
