Day One Handout

This section meets in slot 06, from 1:00-1:50 PM on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, in ED 3034B. My office hours are Mondays and Thursdays from 10:00 - noon, or by appointment.

Textbook
The text for this course is Linear Algebra I:Course Notes for Math 2050, by Edgar Goodaire, published by Kendall Hunt. The bookstore is stocking the second edition, but the first edition would also be acceptable, as would any used version, including the spiral-bound notes sold previously. The e-book is available from the publisher here.

D2L
This course will not be using D2L; all material online will be posted here.

Homework
There will be 8 homework assignments (plus a final assignment that will not be graded and is worth no credit), as indicated on the schedule below. Each HW assignment will be posted at least one week before it is due. Homework will be due to the grading box, #36, in the Math (HH) building by 5:00pm on the day that it is due, or it can be turned in before/after the last class before the due date. No late homework will be accepted. The schedule here will be updated in the event of any changes.
HW1 Due Friday, Sept. 23rd Assignment Solutions
HW2 Due Friday, Sept. 30th Assignment Solutions
HW3 Due Friday, Oct. 7th Assignment Solutions
