Day One Handout

This section meets in slot 06, from 1:00-1:50 PM on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, in ED 3034B. My office hours are Tuesdays from 10:30 - noon and Thursdays from 2:00-3:30 PM, or by appointment, in HH-2019.

There are two options, both available in the bookstore. One is Linear Algebra: Pure & Applied, by Edgar Goodaire, published by World Scientific Publishing. The other is Course Notes: Linear Algebra I, by Edgar Goodaire, published by Kendall Hunt. The course notes are significantly less expensive, but also less thorough than the full textbook. You are free to choose whichever option you prefer.

This course will not be using D2L; all material online will be posted here.

Homework (Updated Sept. 17, 2015)
There will be 8 homework assignments (plus a final, "bonus", assignment), as indicated on the schedule below. Each HW assignment will be posted at least one week before it is due. Homework will be due to the grading box, #20, in the Math (HH) building by 5:00pm on the day that it is due, or it can be turned in before/after the last class before the due date. No late homework will be accepted. The schedule here will be updated in the event of any changes.
