(Passed by a special Meeting of Parishioners held 22nd Nov 1910) Rule I A cemetry committee shall be appointed at each annual meeting of Parishioners said committee to consist of the clergyman, church-wardens, & 3 others. Proposed by Alexander Penny (of Joseph) seconded by Henry G Batson (carried) Rule II The cemetry shall be divided into convenient plots by the standing committee and graves are to be dug strictly within the Boundaries of such plots Proposed by Obadiah Penny seconded by Jacb Penny Jr (carried) Rule III Every Parishioner who owns a length of fence shall (if he wish) become owner of a plot of ground The plots to be balloted for under the direction of the Rector and according to a ground plan. prepared by the standing committee space shall be reserved for the burial of widows, orphans, and strangers. Proposed by Henry G Batson seconded by Francis Penny of James (carried) Rule IV Parishioners who do not come under Rule III will be charged at the rate of $5 per plot. Proposed by Wm Batson of Wm seconded by Reuben Penny of James (carried) Rule V No grave shall be opened without the permission of the Chman or other Member of the Cemetry Committee Proposed by Alexander Penny of Joseph seconded by Joseph Penny of James (carried) Rule VI The graves for the burial of adults shall be not less than 5 feet in depth If any difficulty be found in getting to that depth the chairman or other Member of the Cemetry Committee must be notified, and in no case will a burial be permitted unless the grave is of sufficient depth to leave 3 ft of earth between the top of the coffin and the surface of the ground. Graves for the burial of children shall not be less than 4 ft in depth Proposed by Henry G Batson seconded by Jacob Penny of Rich (carried) Rule VII Persons who own plots shall remove all Rubbish and earth remaining after a grave is filled in to the rubbish heap and if not removed within a reasonable time the cemetry committee will order its removal at the expense of the owner of the plot Proposed by Francis Penny of John seconded by Reuben Penny of Jas carried Rule VIII A body having been interred shall not be removed Proposed by the chairman seconded by Nathan Penny and Henry G Batson carried Rule IX No Memorial or Monument shall be placed in the cemetry unless the Clergyman has been consulted as to its size and design and his permission has been obtained for its erection Proposed by Joseph Penny of James seconded by Alexander Penny of Joseph (Carried) Rule X The foregoing Rules and Regulations shall remain in force until such time as the Parishioners deem it necessary to make alterations Proposed by Obadiah Penny seconded by Jacob Penny of Rich carried
