On Monday Feby 7th 1887 A Vestry Meeting was held in the School Room

The Revd H Johnson Incumbent of Trinity West acted as Chairman in the
stead of & at the request of the Rev B Smith Incumbent & Rural Dean,
prevented by age & infirmity from being present

The meeting opened with Prayer after which minutes of the former meeting
were read.  It was proposed by Mr HG Batson  & seconded by Mr Jacob Penny &
carried that the minutes thus read be passed

The Accounts were then read.  It was proposed by Mr Joseph Penny & seconded
by Mr Jno W Penny carried unanimously that the accounts thus read be passed.

After some discussion as to the appointment of the Church Wardens It was
proposed by Mr J W Penny & seconded by Mr Wm Beston Sr
that Mr James Penny (Cath) be Elected people Warden (Carried).

Mr Jacob Penny was nominated clergyman Warden

It was proposed by Mr Francis Penny & seconded by Mr Alex Penny that
Mr Isaac Penny be sidesman (Carried)

It was proposed by Mr H G Batson and seconded by Mr Alex Penny that
Mr Joseph Batson be reappointed sidesman (Carried)

It was proposed by Mr Joseph Batson & seconded by Mr J W Penny that
Mr Joseph Penny (Rich) be sexton with a salary of 35/- per annum (Carried)

It was proposed by Mr Wm Beston & seconded by Mr Jos Beston that Rails & Posts
be procured for School Property - carried

It was proposed by Mr Wm Beston seconded by Mr John W Penny that each Seat
Holder pay an assesment of 3/- to defray expences (carried)

There was also some dscussion as to the amount that should be paid by young
married men without seats.  The sum of 2/- was settled upon with an assesment
of 1/6 for young unmarried men.

The business of the evening was brought to a conclusion with a vote of thanks
to the outgoing officers which was proposed by Mr Joseph Beston seconded by
Mr H G Beston (carried)

Meeting closed with prayer by the Revd H Johnstone Chairman
