Change Islands Anglican Vital Stats Records

What follows is a list of all Pike entries from Vital Stats volume 83 (which is for Change Islands Anglican records) held at PANL as of August 2008. This list constitutes a typescript of my handwritten extraction from photocopies of the original records, which is to say that I may have inadvertantly introduced some errors while transcribing and typing... as always, you should double-check against the original records. That said, if you spot any mistakes that I have made, please let me know at dapike@mun.ca. Additional Pike entries from other Newfoundland records can also be found on my website.

Vital Stats volume 83 contains records as follows:

Baptisms: 1856 - 1891
Marriages: 1854 - 1891

Note that the Vital Stats records are themselves transcripts, sent in to the goverment by clergy. Accordingly, there may be transcription errors in the original records.

Some comments about the entries listed below:

The entries below are in the same order as presented in the vital stats records, which may not be in chronological order, and might not even be in the same order as the original church records.
Unless I mistakenly overlooked an entry or two, this is a complete list of all Pike entries

The format of most of the entries that follow is as follows:

Line 1: Marriage Number, and Groom's name, abode, occupation, etc
Line 2: Bride's name, abode, etc
Line 3: Marriage date and location
Line 4: List of witnesses

Entries are separated by one or more blank lines.
