Civil registration death records have an index entry for a George PIKE who died at age 84 in 1865 in Cootehill.
There is also an entry for a Dora PIKE who died at age 81 in 1873 in Cootehill.
A George PIKE was appointed to the Royal Irish Constabulary on 26 January 1824; his native county was Cavan, he was age 36, married, with his wife's native county being Dublin. He was subsequently transferred on 01 November 1833 to County Fermanagh. What appears to be a promotion is dated 01 August 1845. He became pensioned on 01 June 1849. There also appears to be a pension record dated 18 August 1823 from the Cavan Militia for a Corporal George PIKE, age 39. |
