This and other letters were sent to the Methodist Missionary Society in England from Newfoundland in the early 1800's. The letters are now archived at the Methodist Missionary Society, although microfilm copies can be found at the United Church Archives in Toronto, Ontario under location number "87.225C".

As the last vessel from this place is about to leave for England I send you the particulars from my Journal from the time I wrote you last.

I attended the school, preached in the morning from 1 John 3 "Beloved now are we the sons of God" &c and in the evening from [unclear] 4.18 "And if the righteous scarcely be saved" &c
