In the name of God Amen
the eighteenth Day of March in the Three and Thirtyeth yeare of the
reigne of our sovereigne Lord King Charles the second &c Annoq Dni
One thousand six hundred and eighty I Thomas Young of the Towne and
County of Poole Marriner being sick in Body but of good and perfect memory
thanks be to Almighty God And calling to remembrance the uncertaine 
estate of this transitory life and that all flesh must yeild unto death when it shall
please God to call Doe make institute ordaine and declare this my last Will
and Testament in manner and forme following Revokeing and annulling 
by these presents all and every Testament and Testaments will and wills 
heretofore by me made and declared either by word or writing and this to be
taken only for my last Will and Testament and none other And first being
penitent and sorry from the bottom of my heart for my sinnes past most humbly
desiring forgivenesse of the same I give and comit my soule unto Almighty 
God my saviour and redeemer in whom and by the merrits of Jesus Christ 
I trust and beleive assuredly to be saved and to have full remission and forgive-
-nesse of all my Sinnes and that my soule with my Body at the generall Day
of resurrection shall rise againe with joy And through the merrits of Christs
death and passion possesse and inherrit the Kingdome of Heaven prepared
for his elect and chosen and my Body to be buryed amongst my relations in
such decent and Christian manner as my Executors hereunder named shall
think fit And now for the setling of my temporall Estate and such goods Chattells
and Debts as it hath pleased God farr above my deserts to bestow upon me I doe
order give and dispose the same in manner and forme following that is to say
First I will that all those Debts and Duties as I owe in right or conscience to any
manner of person or persons whatsoever shall be well and truly contented 
and paid or ordained to be paid within convenient time after my decease by
my Executors here after named Item I give and bequeath unto my Daughter
Elizabeth Christin the sume of Thirty pounds Item I give and bequeath unto
my Sonne Thomas Young my One third part of the shipp William and 
Thomas of Poole as shee is now sett to Sea for to make a fishing Voyage in
the NewfoundLand Item I doe give and bequeath unto my Daughter Joane
Young One hundred pounds sterling Item I doe give and bequeath unto my
grandsonn John Durell Sone of David Durell deceased Forty shillings
Item I doe give and bequeath all the rest of my Estate Dwelling House and 
Sellers Goods Chattels and Debts unto my beloved Wife Anne Young and
unto my sonne Aron Young for ever to be equally divided between them and 
I doe hereby make and ordaine my beloved Wife Anne Young and my sonne
Aron Young to be my Joynt and sole Executor and Executrix of this my last 
								   Will


Will and Testament hereby enjoyning my said Wife and Sonne Aron Executor
and Executrix above named equally between them to pay and discharge all my
Debts Legacies and funerall expences And lastly I doe hereby ordaine nominate
appoint and desire my trusty and beloved Friends Shadrack Beall of the Towne
and county of Poole Marriner and Moses Durell? of the said Town and County
of Poole Merchant to be my Executors in trust for the Executor above named
till hee shall come of age and that they will be alsoe Overseers to take care and see
that this my Will shall be well and truly observed performed and fulfilled in
every respect according to the true intent and meaning of these presents And 
it is my Will and desire that every Legacy herein menconed that is to say the 
money bequeathed to my two Daughters above named and my Grandchild
John Durell above named shall be paid as followeth that is to say the Thirty
pounds bequeathed unto my Daughter Elizabeth Christin shall be paid unto
her in Three Monthes after my decease and the Hundred pounds bequeathed
unto my Daughter Joane Young to be paid unto her when shee shall come of 
age or on the Day of  marryage if shee shall happen to marry before And
the Forty shillings bequeathed unto my Grandchild John Durell to be paid 
when hee shall come of age And if it shall happen that either of them shall
happen to dye before the time of payment in and by this my Will limited 
Then in such case what I have bequeathed to such of them soe deceasing shall
be and remaine to be equally divided between the survivors of them the said Elizabeth
Christin Thomas Young Joane Young and John Durell or any or either of 
them And alsoe if my Executor Aron Young shall dye before he come of the 
age of Sixteen yeares That then his part of my Estate now bequeathed unto
him shall be and remaine equally to be divided between my Children Elizabeth
Christin Thomas Young Joane Young and my Grandchild John Durell
or the Survivor of them or either of them And I doe hereby intreate my above
named good Friends Mr Shadrach Beall and Mr Moses Durell Jnr 
take care and improve my said money bequeathed as above said to the best and
safest Wayes they can for the benefit of the persons to whom it is bequeathed 
untill the payment thereof and to pay and allow themselves reasonable satisfacon
for all their care paines and trouble in the premisses And now into the hands
?? most mercifull Father I commit my spirrit In witnesse whereof I have 
hereunto set my hand and seale the Day and yeare above Written Tho
Young Signed sealed and delivered  published and declared by the above
named Testator These presents to be his last Will and Testament in prsence
of John Petly Stephen Barfoote Moses Durell Jnr 

Memorandum the words rased out in the seaven and Twenty???
and One and Thirtyeth Lynes of this Testament were soe rased out before signing 
and sealing alsoe the words for ever in the Two and twentyeth Lines and dwelling
House in the one and Twentyeth Line interlined and sellers ???? John
