In the name off God Amen I Thomas Wadham of the Towne and County of Poole
marriner Beeing sick of Body but off sound and perfect memory praise be given therefore
To Almighty god Doe make and ordaine this my present last will and Testament In
manner and Forme Following (that is to say) First and principally I Commend my soule Into
the hands of Almighty God hopeing through the merits Death and Passion of my saviour 
Jesus Christ to have Full and free pardon and forgiveness of all my sins and to Inherit everlasting 
Life and my Body I Comitt to the Earth To be Decently Buried att the Discretion off my
Executrix hereafter named and as touching the Disposition of all such Temporall Estate as it 
hath pleased Almighty God to Bestowe upon me I Give and dispose thereof as Followeth 
  Vizt
First I will that my Debts and funerall Charges shall be payd and discharged
Item I Give unto my son Thomas Wadham the one Fourth part of the Good Barkque or Vessel 
Called the George and Thomas of Poole whereof himselfe is now master he yeelding and 
paying my Daughter Mary Spurier the now wife of Timothy Spurier of the Towne and County of 
Poole Taylor the Sum off Five pounds of Lawfull money of England wch I Give to her as a 
Legacy
Item I give unto my sone John Wadham and to the heirs Lawfully Begotten of his Body all the
Right Title and Intrest Belonging to me in a house Comonly Knowne or Called by the name of Black
-Rod now scituated and Lying in high street In the Towne and County off Poole afforesaid (affter
the Death of my wife Mary Wadham) my son John Wadham yeelding and paying Mary
Spurier the now wife of Timothy Spurier A foresaid the sum off Ten pounds of Lawfull
mony off England and all the Rest and Residue of my personall Estate Goods and Chattles what
-soever I doe give And Bequeath unto my Beloved wife Mary Wadham my Full and
sole Executrix of this my Last will and Testament and my will is that shee shall have and
Injoy the house wth the Apurtenances there unto Belong Comonly Knowne & Called by the name
of Black Rod as afforesaid (Dureing her natureall Life) and at her Death my will is that 
it be In the possesion and Injoyment off my son John Wadham and his heirs 
Forever and my will is that my Loveing Brothers Roger Wadham and Joseph 
Wadham bee my Friends In trust to see this my Last will and testament Fullfilld
and I Doe hereby Revoke Disannull and make voyd all Former wills and Testaments by
me heretofore made In wittness whereof I the said Thomas Wadham to this my Last
will and Testament have sett my hand and seale this 21 Day of May 1697
