In the name of God Amen
the twenty third day of March Anno Doni one thousand Six hundred
ninety five I Thomas Taylor of Litchett Minster in the County of
Dorset Seaman or Planter knowing the uncertainty of this life on
Earth and being desirous to Settle things in order doe make this my
last Will and Testament in manner and forme following (taht is to say) 
First and principally I commend my self into the hands of Almighty
God my Creator and Redeemer And as touching such worldly Estate
as the Lord in mercy hath lent me my will and meaning is  the
same shall be imployed and bestowed as hereafter by this my will
is expressed Imprimus I give and bequeath unto my wife Elizabeth and
my daughter Eliz all my goods and chattells in Litchett Minster
aforesaid to be equally divided between them when my daughter
doe come to the full age of one and twenty yeares Item I give and
bequeath unto my sonn John and my sonn Thomas all my Plantacon
in Newfoundland and every thing thereunto belonging Three parts
unto my sonn JOhn and one fourth part unto my sonn Thomas to
be divided by these my friends hereafter named whom I shall
appoint as Trustees of this my last Will and Furder my will is
that if my sonn John doe further demand as concerning a Legacy
formerly given unto him by his grandfather John Speer or trouble
or cause to trouble any that may be concerned to pay the same
Legacy soe given or bequeathed that then my will is he shall have but
one shilling to be paid him when he shall be of the age of one and
twenty yeares And my will is that if my sonn John is soe contented
with the three pats of my Plantacon before given or bequeathed in
liew and for full satisfacccon of all demands concerning the before
menconed Legacy soe given or bequeathed by his grandfather that
then he shall have the tree parts of my said Plantacon when he doe
come to the full age of one and twenty yeares and my will is that if
either of my sonns doe dye before that age that then the whole
Plantacon to be and remaine unto him that is then liveing or doe
Survive And further my will is that my wife Eliz and my daughter



Eliz shall have the profitts of the said Plantacon untill my sonne doe
come of age as beforemenconed And my will is that if my wife Eliz
doth marry or goe out of my name that then she shall have but her part
of my goods and chattels in Litchett Minster aforesaid and my daughter
to have the profitts of my Plantacon untill my Sonns doe come of age
And if my daughter doe happen to dye before she doe come of the full
age of one and twenty yeares that then her part to remaine unto
my sonn Thomas And I doe constitute and appoint as my friends in
trust of this my last Will and Testament Henry Corban and William
Green Planters at Perlican in Newfoundland to look after my
Plantacon and to see it is managed according to this my Will and my
will is that nothing shall be done without them concerning the same
And I doe further appoint my very good friends William Chesman
and John Rogers of Litchett Minster to be my friends in trust for
my daughter and to see that all things doe goe according unto this
my Will concerning my goods and chattells in Litchett Minster
aforesaid And my will is that my Executor shall not sell nor dispose
of any thing without their advice And I doe appoint my wife
Executor of this my last Will and Testament In witnesse my hand
and seale the day and yeare first above written The marke of
Thomas Taylor  sealed in the presence of us The marke of Mary
Rogers  Eliz Grant her marke  John Moores
