In the name of god amen The ix th day of Septembr anno m v c 
liiii th I Richard Payne of the Cittie of Bristow marchaunt being seeke in bodie but of 
good remembrannce and parfite memory thanks be to god to advisedly and expressly 
revoke all and singulied testamentis by me at any tyme heretofore made And I will
them and evry of them by thies presentes to be clerelie voide and of none effect And I 
doo now make my testament contayning my last will in manner and fourme folowing 
that is to say First I comend my soule to allmightie god my Creator and to or Saviour
Jesus Christe my Redemer and my bodie to christian buriall Item I give and beqth 
xx s to be divided amongest poore people according to the discreacion of myn execu-
trix beneath named Item I geve and bequeath to Julian my wif all and singlr 
sommes of monney debtes dueties and other things whatsoevr they be which now be 
and shall from hensforth be due and appertayn and ought of right tappertayne and 
to be due to me by virtue of legacies and bequestes geven and bequeathed to me by 
my late broter Mr John Pryn Doctor of Lawe late Subdeane of the Cathedrall
churche of Lincoln deceased and by reason that my said brother hathe named ordayned
made and constituted me his executor in fourme and manner expressed and declared 
in his testament The Residewe of all my goods and Cattalles moveable and un-
moveable I geve and bequeath unto Julian my wif whome I make and ordayne 


my hole and soole executrice of this my testament and of the same my testament I make 
and ordeyn my brother in lawe John Smithe clerke and Allyn Gosnell my sonne in law
John Smithe clerke my overseers And I give to evry one of them for their paynes and 
labours to see this my testament and last will well and trulye perfourmed and fulfil-
led xl s And when it shall please god to call my said wif to his mercye then my
wille and mynde is that she shall dispose the rest of her goods according to her 
discreacion to Thomas Pryn my sonne and to the children of my sonne Nicolas 
Prynne and to the children of my daughter Julian Goswell To this my presente 
testament I have putt my firme and seale Thies being present John Sebright 
Mr Thomas Harris Nicholas Shee and John Smith clerke and other
