This is the last Will
and Testament of me Mary Pitt the Widow of Moses
Pitt late of Birchin Lane London Insurance Broker
I give and bequeath after payment of my just Debts
and Funeral Expences All Monies Securites for Money
Goods Chattels Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever
of which I shall die possessed or entitled unto unto and
between all my Children by my former Husband Young 
Green in equal shares and proportions The shares
of Sons to be paid to them respectively at the Age of
21 years and the shares of Daughters to be paid to
them at that age or Day of Marriage which shall 
first happen And I direct that the shares of such of
my Children as shall be under the age of 21 years at
the time of my decease shall be invested in the
names of my Executors hereinafter named in the Public
Stocks or Funds or upon Government or Real Securities
at Interest And I direct that the Dividends and
Interest to arise from such Stocks Funds or Securities
shall be applied towards the Maintenance and Education
of such children respectively until their respective shares
shall become payable I appoint Mr Lawrence Brickwood
of Layton in Essex and my son Thomas Green Executors
of this my will as Witness my Hand and Seal this
eighth day of July one thousand eight hundred
Mary Pitt  LS  Signed Sealed Published and declared by
the said Mary Pitt as and for her last Will and
Testament in the presence of Eliza Ann Brickwood of
Layton Thomas Dawes Angel Court Throgmorton St

In addition to my last Will and Testament
preceding I further will and direct that my Extors
therein mentioned do pay or cause to be paid out
of the Interest arising from my Personal Estate there
bequeathed to my Children unto Mr Thomas Gregory
of Poole in Dorsetshire Ten Pounds Sterg P Quarter for
the sole use and benefit of my Mother Ann Williams
Widow (now residing with the said Thos Gregory at
Poole) during her natural life And so soon as the
said Ann Williams shall depart this life which
shall first happen the said quarterly payment shall
cease As witness my Hand and Seal this tenth day
of July One thousand eight hundred  Mary Pitt  LS
Signed Sealed Published & declared by the said Mary
Pitt as a Codicil to her will preceding in the presence
of Eliza Ann Brickwood

Brickwood of Billiter Square London Gentleman and
being sworn on the Holy Evangelists to depose the Truth
made Oath as follows that he knew and was well
acquatined with Mary Pitt formerly of Birchin Lane
London but late of Poole in the County of Dorset widow
deceased for several years before and to the time of
her Death and also with he rmanner & character
of handwriting and subscription having several times
seen her write and also write and subscribe her Name
& having now with care and attention viewed &
perused the codicil to the last Will & Testament of
the said deceased hereunto annexed the said codicil 
beginning thus "In addition to my last Will and 
Testament preceding I further will and direct that my
Exors therein mentioned do pay or cause to be paid"
ending thus "As witness my Hand and Seal this
tenth day of July One thousand eight hundred and
thus subscribed "Mary Pitt" he this Deponent doth
say that he verily and in his conscience believes
the said subscription to be of the proper handwriting
and subscription of the said Mary Pitt widow deceased

Medmore Brickwood was duly sworn to the truth of
this affidavit before me William Adams Surr

This will was proved at London the eighth
Day of August in the Year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred before the Worshipful William Adams
Doctor of Laws and Surrogate of the Right Honorable Sir
William Wynne Knight also Doctor of Laws Master
Keeper or commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury
lawfully constituted by the Oaths of Lawrence Brickwood
and Thomas Green the Son of the deceased and the
Executors named in the said Will to whom Administration
was granted of all and singular the Goods Chattels and
Credits of the said deceased having been first sworn
duly to administer
