I John Lock of the Town and County
of Poole Mariner being Sick and weak of Body but of sound and
perfect Memory thanks be therefore rendered to Almighty God considering
the uncertainty of Time and the certainty of Mortality Do make and ordain 
this my last Will and Testament (that is to say) principally and first of all
I recommend my Soul into the Hands of God who gave it and my Body I 
commit to the Dust And as touching such Worldly Estate where with it
hath pleased God to bless me in this Life after my Debts and Funeral
Expences are paid and Discharged I give Devise and Dispose of the same
in manner and forme following (vizt) Imprimis I give grant Devise
and confirme unto my loveing Daughter Elizabeth Lock and to the Heirs 
of her Body all those my two Farms or Estates commonly called or
known by the Names of Coombe Bissett Farm and East Nayle Farm
Scituate lyeing and being in the parish of Coombe in the County of Wilts
together with all and Singular the Houses Outhouses Edifices Buildings
Gardens Orchards Lands Meadows Grounds Pastures Inclosures Commons
Profits Comodites Emoluments Hereditaments and Appurtenances whatsoever 
to the said Farmes or Estates or either of them belonging or in anywise
appertaining To Have and to Hold the said Farmes or Estates and all and
singular other the premisses hereby given granted and Devised and
every part and parcell thereof with their and every of their Rights
Members and Appurtenances unto my said Daughter Elizabeth Lock and
to the Heirs of her Body lawfully to be begotten for ever and for
default of such Issue I Give grant Devise and confirme the said Farmes 
or Estates unto my loving Sister Ann Strong and to the Heirs of her 



Body lawfully begotten or to be begotten for ever Item all the
rest and residue of my Goods Chattells Credits and personal Estate I
give devise and bequeath unto my said Daughter Elizabeth Lock 
whome I do also hereby make and ordaine my whole and Sole Executrix
of this my last Will and Testament And I do hereby contitute make and
ordaine my said Sister Ann Strong to be my Daughters Guardian untill She
shall be of the Age of Sixteen years giveing and by these presents
granting unto her full power and authority to take and receive all
and singular the Annual Rents of my two Farmes or Estates herein before
mentioned (and after my Debts and Funeral Expences are paid and
discharged as aforesaid) to put out the yearly Income of the said Farmes 
or Estates (as she shall receive the same) to Interest for the use benefit
and Advantage of my said Daughter, except Twelve pounds sterling
per Annun which I have agreed shall be paid unto her for my said
Daughters Board and Education out of the said Estates And I do Elect desire
and Appoint my Friends John Rowland and Henry Dean to be my Friends
in trust to see that his my Will is duly and truly performed and for their
Care therein I give to each of them half a Guinea allowing their reasonable
Expences that they may be at in the execution and performance of their
Trust And I do revoke all other Wills by me made and do ratify and 
confirm this and no other to be my last Will and Testament In Witness
whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seale the Ninth Day of June
in the year of our Lord Christ 1722  Jno Lock  Signed sealed pronounced
and declared by the said Testator as his last Will and Testament in
the presence of us  Dinah Simes the mark of Martha Davage Jere:
