This is the last Will and Testament
of me George Welch Ledgard of the Town and County of Poole


Esquire First I will and direct that all my just debts funeral & testamentary 
expences be fully paid and discharged as soon as conveniently may be after 
my decease by my Executors hereinafter named And I give and bequeath 
unto my dear Wife Susanna Pike Ledgard All and singular my Household 
Goods and Furniture Plate Linen China and other Effects of the like nature 
which shall be in about and belonging to the Mansion house in Poole aforesaid 
in which I now reside to and for her own absolute use and benefit And I give 
and bequeath unto my said Wife a Legacy or sum of Five thousand pounds
which I direct to be paid within twelve Calendar Months next after my decease 
And I give devise and bequeath unto my two Sons George Ledgard and Richard
Ledgard All and singular my Messuages Lands Tenements and Hereditaments 
whatsoever situate and being in Poole aforesaid or elsewhere in England And 
also all my ready money and securities for money book and other Debts and all
And Every Other my Estate and Effects whatsoever and whereso
ever and of what nature or kind soever To hold the same unto my said Sons
George Ledgard and Richard Ledgard their respective heirs executors and admors 
as Tenants in Common and not as joint Tenants according to the nature and 
legal qualities of the same Estates and Properties respectively And I appoint 
my said Wife Susanna Pike Ledgard and my said two Sons George Ledgard
and Richard Ledgard Executrix and Executors of this my Will And 
I revoke all former or other Wills or Codicils by me at any time heretofore made 
In Witness whereof I the said George Welch Ledgard the Testator have to 
this my last Will and Testament subscribed my name and affixed my Seal 
this twentieth day of December One thousand eight hundred and thirty three

George Welch Ledgard the Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the
presence of us who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other 
have hereunto set our names as Witnesses  Robt H Parr Solicitor Poole

Proved at London 30th June 1838 before the Judge by the Oaths of 
George Ledgard Esquire and Richard Ledgard Esquire the Sons two of the 
Executors to whom Admon was granted having been first Sworn the said George
Ledgard before the Worshipful John Danbeny Doctor of Laws and Surrogate and
the said Richard Ledgard by Commission duly to Administer Power reserved of 
making the like Grant to Susanna Pike Ledgard widow the Relict the other Exor
when she shall apply for the same
