I Nicholas King of the Town and County of Poole
Marriner being weak of Body but of Sound and perfect memory
thanks be therefore rendered to Almighty God, considering the uncertainty
of time and the certainty of mortality do (in the fear of God) make and ordaine
this my last Will and Testament (that is to say) principally and first of
all, I reccomend my Soule into the hands of God who gave it, and my Body
to the dust, and as touhing such Worldly Estate wherewith it hath pleased
God to Endowe me, after my Debts and Funerall expences are paid and
discharged I give devize and dispose of the same as followeth (that is to say

First of all I give unto my son Charles King One shilling also I give and devize
unto my son John King and to the Heires of his Body lawfully begotten and to be begotten
forever all that my Messuage or Tenement, with the Lands and Appurtenances thereunto
belonging, scituate lying and being in Fish Street in the Said Town and County of Poole
now in the Tenure of George Row and for default of such Issue I give and devise the said
Messuage or Tenement premisses and Appurtenances unto my Daughter Hannah Pike for and
dureing the Terme of her Natural life and from and after her decease to and equally between my
four Grand daughters (That is to say) Jenny Pike, Hannah Pike, Susannah Pike and Sarah Pike and
to their Heires and assignes forever as Tenants in Common and not as Joynt Tenants Also I
give and devize unto my Daughter Sarah May for and dureing the Term of her Natural life
all that my Messuage or Tenement with the Lands and Appurtenances thereunto belonging, scituate
lying or being in Fish Street aforesaid now in the Tenure of Mary Mauger and from and after her
decease I give and devize the said Messuage or Tenement premisses and appurtenances unto the Heires of
her Body lawfully begotten and to be begotten forever and for default of such Issue I give and
devize the same Messuage or Tenement premisses and appurtenances unto my said Daughter Hannah
Pike for and dureing the Term of her Natural life and from and after her decease to my said four Grand daughters
before named & to their heires and Assignes forever as Tenants in Common and not as Joynt Tenants
also I give unto my Sons in Law (that is to say) William Pike and Nicholas May each of them one shilling
also I give unto my Brother in Law William May and to my sister Ann May One shillings apiece and to my
Brother in Law Nicholas Allen and my sister Mary Allen a Shilling apiece and to my Couzins Nicholas Allen
and Mary Allen a Shilling apiece Also I give unto my Sisters namely Susannah Wells and Hester Archer
(if they come to live in Poole) each of them five pounds sterling to be paid to them in Shop goods out of my Shop at the
Selling price that is to say Two Shillings by the week, weekly untill the said Sums are paid Also I give and devize
unto my Friends to wit Thomas Heath and Jeremiah Colborne their Executors or Assigns to and for the only
use of the poore of the people called Quakers in Poole aforesaid one shillings by the Month to be paid to them
Monthly by my Executrix herein after named dureing the term of her natural Life All the rest and
residue of my Goods Chattells Credits and personal Estate (not before given) consisting in money plate House
hold goods or in any other thing or things whatsoever to me belonging I give and devize unto my said
Daughter Hannah Pike for and dureing the term of her Natural Life and from and after her decease unto
my said Four Grand daughters above mentioned to be equally divided and shared between them And I do
also hereby make and ordain my said Daughter Hannah Pike my whole and sole Executrix of this my last Will and
Testament revoking all other Wills by me made and confirming this to be my last Will and Testament In Witness
whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seale the Nineteenth day of May in the year of our Lord One thousand
seven hundred and Thirty Nine
