In the name of god Amen The third daye of September Anno Domini Millimo 
Quingentesimo Septuagesimo quinto I Elizabeth Jones of the Citie of Bristowe Wyddowe beinge 
in good and parfecte memorye thancks be geven to Allmightie god do make this my Laste will &
testament in manner and fourme followinge Imprimis I bequeathe my soule to allmightie god my
heavenly Father and creator and to Jhesus Christe his only sonne by whose pretiouse deathe passion &
blood sheddinge only I firmely beleave to be saved and wasshed from all my synnes throughe the 
sanctifyinge of the holie ghoste to which three parsons and one only god be all honor and glorye
for ever amen my bodye to be buried in the grounde of the parrishe of Sainte Nicholas within 
the grate by my Late welbeloved husband Roger Jones Firste afore all things my Funerall putt
parte I will my debts to be paide with as conveniente speede as may be Item I geve and bequeth 
to my welbeloved Sister Ellinor Higgins in money thirtie pounds to her owne proper use as 
she shall neade to occupie the same to her owne use Item I geve and bequeathe to my 
welbeloved cosen Mr Doctor Mathewe my gold ringe set with an emerod Item I geve and 
bequeathe to Elizabethe Moore daughter of Richard Moore begotten uppon Elizabethe his 
wif my only daughter at the daye of her marriage the some of one hundrethe marks in
currannt money I meane with the twentie pounds that my Late husband gave her by 
his will the whole to be a hundreth marks Item I geve and bequeathe to the said Elizabeth
my best measte of double gylte gobletts with a cover Also I geve and bequeathe to the said Elizabeth 
Moore one salte double gilte sett with ca??sies with a cover Also geve and bequeathe to the said 
Elizabeth Moore my basone and Ewer of sylver PARcell gilt Item I geve and bequeathe to the 
said Elizabeth moore the iiii th parte of all my howsholdstuff as wolle Lynen as pewter and 
brasse Item geve and bequeathe to the said Elizabeth Moore my litle gold ringe set with a ruby
Item I geve and bequeathe towards the provicon of the poore the some of one hundrethe pounds to 
be employed moste parte thereof in suche sorte that it may remayne to theire contynuall relief 
to be provided for within two or three yeres after my decease by the discression of my
executors Item I geve and bequeathe to my cosen John Cother a blacke gowne and to my
cosen his wif a cassocke of grograine furred with myncks I geve and bequeathe to my cosen 
Katherine Buckeforde one gowne furred with conye Item I geve and bequeath to Nicholas 
Hill my srvnte twentie pounds uppon condicon that he shall do his diligens and faithfull srvice
to my executor I meane aswell in service in the shopp as also in gettinge in my debts as also to 
remayne in service with my executor untill my debts be fullie paide Item I geve & bequeath
to Anthony Hill my servnte fyve pounds uppon condicon that he do faithfullie serve my executor
the Residue of his prentizeshipp of yeres yet to come Item I geve and bequeathe to John Faye 
one gowne furred with budge and to his wife a cassock of grograine Item I geve and 
bequeathe to Henrye Millwarde my late servnte a fetherbed and a bolster Item I geve and
bequeathe to Jane Cother my sheepes color cassock furred with otter and a petticoate of frisadow 
Item I geve and bequeath to Elizabeth Cother my goddaughter one frocke of Chamblet garded 
with velvet Item I geve and bequeath to Elizabeth Boswell my srvnte a gowne of my
husbands that was Lyned with chamlet to make her a gowne and a petticoate of frisadow
uppon condicon that she srvethe the Residue of her yeres with my daughter Elizabeth Moore
Item I give and bequeathe to Mr Buckford of London that litle Besse Moore dwelleth with 
a golde Ringe set with a stone called a Saphier Item I give and bequeathe to my frend 
Mr Edward Portar a gold Ringe whome I make my Overseer of this my Laste will and 
testament Item I give and bequeathe to John Boswell my servnte a double gynall of 
golde Item I give and bequeathe to my Late servnte Thomas Taylor a cassocke that was 


my husbands of blacke damaske with a button of gold set with fyne pearles Item all the
Residue of my goods not above bequeathed I give and bequeathe to Richard More my sonne
in lawe and to Elizabethe his wife whome I do make my executors of this my Laste will
and testament my will is that the poore sholde have xxx ti blacke gownes of frise out of
