In the Name of God Amen the Twenty-first day of June Annoque dom
1695 I Joseph Harris of the Town and County of Poole Sawyer being Sick and weak
of body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be given to God therefore calling unto
mind the mortality of my Body and knowing that it is appointed unto all men once
to die, doe make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form
following, that is to say First and principally I Recommend my Soul into the hands of
allmighty God who gave it me nothing doubting but at the general Reserrection I
I shall Receive the same again by the Mighty power of God, And as touching such
worldly Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me in this Life I give despose and bequeath
the same in manner and Form as Followeth 
Imprimis I give and bequeath unto my Wife namely Alice Harris all that my little
house Scituate in ye Town and County of Poole in which I now liveth together with the Garden
priveledges and Appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining To have 
hold and enjoy the same Dureing her natureal life time and after the Decease of my
said wife I give and bequeath the said house Garden and Appurtenances unto Elizabeth
King Wife     of John King    of the Town and County of Poole Marriner and to her 
Heires forever. Item I give and bequeath unto James Hanceford of the Town and 
County of Poole marriner all that my other house adjoyining to ye former before mentioned wch 
said houses are Scituate Lying and being in Town Gates Lane in ye Town and County aforesaid 
together with the priveledges and appurtenances to the said house beloning to have hold
and enjoy the same unto him the said James Hanceford and to his Heires forever.
Item I give and bequeath to Mary Bowden (daughter of John Bowden Junr late of
the Town and County aforesaid) One Bed (vizt) that I now lays on and one pair of Sheets 
and my Best Rugg, the pair of Sheets aforesaid are to be the best in my house. Item I give 
and bequeath unto Cristible Harris Daughter of my Brother Francis Harris late of the 
Town and County of Poole aforesaid, my Mare and Colt and all my wearing Apparell
and my Young Pigg. Item I give to my wife aforesaid my Old Pigg and also all 
and Singular the Rest of my Household Goods Impliments and Chattles whatsoever 
except what is before herein given and bequeathed otherwaies. And I do nominate and 
Ordain my wife aforesaid and Elizabeth King aforesaid to be my Friends in trust 
to Ask Demand and Receive all such sum and Sums of Money which is Due to me 
or which may become due and payable to me howsoever and discharge my Funeral 
Expences and to se that this my last will and Testaments be fullfilled Ratifying 
and Confirming this and none other to be my last will and Testament and hereby 
I the said Joseph Harris do dissallow and utterly Revoke and make void all and 
Singular other former Wills Legacies and bequests whatsoer by me at any time before 
Willed given or bequeathed Confirming this and none other to be my last will and Testament 
In Wittness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and Seale the Day and Year 
agove written.  Memorand before the Sealing hereof it is the Will of me the said Joseph Harris also
that my wife aforesaid shall sell  all my working Tooles to help discharge my Funerall Expences.
