This is the last Will and 
Testament of me John Guy of Blandford Forum in the County of
Dorset Gent made this four and twentyeth day of December in
the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and twenty three
revoking all former Wills by me made Imprimis I give to my
son Edmund the sume of one hundred pounds to be paid to him at the 
end of twelve months next after my decease I also give him what
Horse beast I shall dye possessed of with the utensills thereto
belonging Item I give and bequeath unto my said son after the 
decease of my now loving Wife who is to hold the same for her life
all that my Farm called Castle Leaze in the parish of Corfe Castle 
with its appurtenances to hold to him his Executors and Assigns 
after the decease of his said Mother during the remainder of a 
certaine term of years therein yet to come and unexpired
determinable on the Death of himself and his Sister Margaret 
Chargable nevertheless with the payment of Fifty pounds a piece 
to his three sisters Thomazin Martha and Magaret which I give
to them respectively to be paid at the end of twelve Months next
after the decease of their said Mother Item I give unto my said 
son and his heirs my house with the appurtenances thereto
belonging wherein Captain Culliford now lives in Corfe Castle
aforesaid and also my house and Land in Corfe Castle aforesaid 
given to me by my kinsman Stephen Guy deceased Item I give
unto my said son all my books of all sorts with a Scrutore now in
my own Chamber Item I further give and bequeath unto my said
three Daughters the sume of two hundred pounds a peice to be paid 
to them at their severall days of Marriage of upon their severally
leaving off their living and dwelling with their said Mother In full
Satisfaction and discharge of any Legacy or sume of money that 
they may claime by virtue of the last Will and Testament of their
Grand Mother Mabell Guy or their unckle George Guy deceased
or either of them Item I give unto my Grandson John Harding 
one Guinea to buy a mourning ring in remembrance of me to be 
paid him at the age of sixteen shillings Lastly I give unto my said


Wife for her life my said Farm of Castle Leaze and I give unto her
all the rest residue and remainder of my Goods and Chattells
whatsoever and wheresoever and do make and appoint her my
said Wife whole and sole Executrix of this my last Will and 
Testament In witness whereof I the said John Guy have to this 
my last Will and Testament sett my hand and seal and published 
and declared the same to be my last Will and Testament this twenty
fourth day of December 1726  John Guy  Signed sealed published 
and declared by the said Testator to be his last Will and Testament 
in the presence of us who all set our hands as Witnesses thereto in his
presence and at his request  Wm Derby Edwd Dear
