In the Name of God Amen I Thomas Green of the Parish of Christchurch now residing in the Harbour of Greenspond in the Island of Newfoundland Planter being in perfect health of body and of perfect mind and memory and knowing it is appointed for all Men once to die do make and ordain this my last will and Testament that is to say Principally and first of all I give and recommend my Soul into the hand of Almighty God that gave it and my body I commend to the Earth to be buried in decent Christian burial at the discretion of my Executors nothing doubting but at the general resurrection I shall receive the same again by the mighty power of God And as touching such worldly Estates wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me in this life I give devise and dispose of in the following manner and form I give and bequeath to my son Thomas Green one hundred pounds To Mary Green wife of my son Thomas Green one hundred pounds To Mary Green daughter of Thomas and Mary Green one hundred pounds if she does not marry contrary to her Fathers and Mothers wish To Robert Green fifty pounds To Edward Green fifty pounds To William Green fifty pounds and to George Green fifty pounds sons of Thomas and Mary Green to be received by them at the age of twenty years I give and bequeath my son John Green one hundred and fifty pounds To Susan Green and Jane Green daughters of John and Elizabeth Green fifty pounds each To John James and Thomas Green sons of John and Mary Green fifty pounds each to be received by them at the age of twenty years And I furthermore give and bequeath to my sons Thomas and John Green the Rest and Residue of my Goods and Chattels and Personal Estates Messuages lands Tenements and Hereditaments whatsoever and wheresoever And I do make and ordain Mr Thomas Walley my sole Executor of this my last will and Testament And I do hereby utterly disallow revoke and disannul all and every other former Testaments Wills legacies bequests and Executors by me in any wise before named wills and bequeathes ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and Testament In witness whereof I have set my hand and seal this twenty ninth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighteen Thomas Green Senr LS Seald publishd and declared by the above named Thomas Green Green for and as his last will and Testament in presence of us Nathl Smith James Cram Thomas Read Junr On the 20th March 1830 Admon (with the will annexed) of the Goods Chattels & Credits of Thomas Green the elder formerly of the Parish of Christchurch in the County of Southampton but late of Greenspond in the Island of Newfoundland decd was granted to James Green the lawful Attorney of Thomas Walley the sole Executor being first sworn by commission duly to Admr for his use and benefit now residing at Greenspond aforesaid On the 14th Septr 1852 Admon (with the will annexed) of the Goods Chattels and Credits of Thomas Green the Elder formerly of the Parish of Christchurch in the County of Southampton but late of Greenspond in the Island of Newfoundland deceased left unadministered by Thomas Walley deceased whilst living the sole Executor named in the said Will (acting ?? James Green his lawful Attorney was granted to George Frampton the Administrator of the Goods of John Green decd whilst living the surviving Residuary Legatee named in the said Will having been first sworn by Comon duly to administer for the use and benefit of the said Thomas Green one of the natural and lawful Children of the said John Green deceased d???d until ???? ??? duly apply for and ???????????????? admon of the Goods of the said John Green ?? ?? granted to ????????? said Thomas Walley decd Intestate
