In the name of God Amen
the five and twentith Day of Aprill in the yeare of our Lord God one thousand six
hundred fifty and three I Alice Gleson of the parrish of Bathfoord in the County
of Somersett Widowe beinge in good health and of perfect mynd and memory
									Thanks



Thankes bee given to Allmighty god Doe make and ordaine this my last will and
Testament in manner and forme followeinge First I give and bequeath my Soule
into the hands of Allmighty god my maker And Jesus Christ his only begotten
Sonne my only Savior and redeemer and of the holy ghost my Sanctifier Stedfastly
beleeveinge that I shalbee Saved and bee made partaker of Everlastinge life by and
through the most pretious Death and passion and merritts of Jesus Christ and not by
or through any merritts of my owne And my body I Committ to the Earth from whence
it came to bee buried in Christian buriall And of that Estate wherewith it hath plea
sed god to blesse mee withall I give and bequeath as Followeth Item I give and
bequeath unto my Sister Anne Guy the Somme of Fifty pounds of Lawfull
money of England to bee paid unto her within Six moneths after my Decease
Item I give and bequeath unto my Cosen Margarett Deane the Somme of Twenty 
pounds to bee payd unto her within Six moneths after my Decease Item I give ye
Somme of Tenn pounds to bee Devided by her equally betwixt her Children to bee payd
to her and them within Six moneths after my Decease Item I give unto Elnor
White my Cosen the Somme of Five pounds to bee payd unto her within Six moneths
after my Decease Item I given unto my Cosen Henry Foster my godsonne the some
of five pounds to bee payd unto him within Six moneths after my Decease Item
I give unto Ilnor Foster the Somme of Tenn pounds to bee payd unto her within
Six moneths after my Decease item I give unto Jane the Daughter of Baker Cutt
the Somme of five pounds to bee payd unto her within Six moneths after my
Decease or otherwise when Shee Shall attaine the age of Twenty and one yeares
Item I give unto my Cosen William Greene the Sonne of William Greene
late of the Citty of Bristoll gentleman Deceased the Somme of Five pounds to bee
payd unto him when hee shall attaine the age of Twenty and one yeares Item I
give unto my Cosen Elnor Ellis the Somme of Five pounds to bee payd unto
her within six moneths after my Decease Item I give unto my Cosen William Ellis
the Somme of five pounds to bee payd unto him within Six moneths after my					^ Item I give unto Henry
Decease Item I give unto my god Daughter one of the Daughters of Thomas Duck of Winterbourne			  Gleson ye sume of five pounds
in the County of Glocester gentleman one Sute of table lynninge beinge Damaske					  to be payd unto him within
and one Arris Coverled Item I give unto Israell Gleson the Son of Israell Gleson				  six moneths after my Decease
and Mary Gleson his Daughter the Somme of Five pounds to bee equally Devided
betwixt them and to bee payd unto them when the shall attaine their Severall ages of
twenty and one yeares Item I give unto my Cosen Mary Chrine the Daughter of Phillipp
Ellis the Somme of five pounds to bee payd unto her within six moneths after my
Decease Item I give unto William Pykes my godsonne the Somme of Five pounds to
bee payd unto him when hee shall attaine the age of twenty and one yeares Item I
give unto the poore of the parrish of Bathfoord the Somme of Twenty Shillings to bee
payd to the Overseers of the Same parrish within Six moneths after my Decease
Item I give unto the poore of the parrish of Little Sainte Augustins within the Suburbs
of the City of Bristoll the Somme of Twenty Shillings to bee payd unto the Overseers
of the Same parrish within Six moneths after my Decease Item I give unto Mr
Reed formerly Vicar of the Said parrish of Saint Augustins the Somme of five
shillings to bee payd unto him within Six moneths after my Decease Item I give
unto the Servant mayde the Somme of twenty Shillings to bee payd unto her within
Six moneths after my Decease Item I give unto Anne Fry and to her Sonne my
godsonne her other Child the Somme of Fowre pounds to bee equally Devided betwixt
them Item as Touchinge All the rest of my Estate and my ???e?alls I leave it to
my executor And of this my last will and Testament I Doe Constitute appointe and
ordaine Israell Gleson of Brislington In witnes hereof I have hereunto Sett my hand
and Seale the Day and yeare first above written In the presence of us Wee whose names
are hereunto Subscribed will attest and witnes that the within named Alice Gleson in
her health as also in her last Sicknes whereof Shee Dyed Did utter and Say that Shee had
made her will And that it was in Such a box then Shee poyntinge and nameinge the
box wherein the Sayd will was And that one the thirtith Day of August one thousand

Six hundred fifty and fowre it beinge the next Day after her Death was in which sayd
box mentioned this her will found  Henry Hall  Phillipp Ellis  Mary Ellis  Mary
Skrine

This will was proved at London the Six and twentieth Day of May in the
yeare of our Lord god one thousand Six hundred fifty and five before the Judges for
probate of Wills and grantinge Administrations lawfully authorized by the oath
of Israell Gleson of Brislington the Sole Executor named in this last will and
Testament of the Sayd Deceased To whom was Committed Administration of all
and Singular the goods Chattles and Debts of the Sayd Deceased Hee the Sayd Israell
Gleson being first Sworne by vertue of a Commission well and truely to Admin
ister the Same
