In the Name of God Amen I Richard Gleed of the Town and County of Poole Shipwright being in health of Body and of sound Mind and Memory blessed be God Do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner following First I will that all my just Debts and Funeral Expences be paid and Discharged Also I give and bequeath unto my loving Wife Mary Gleed the Sum of Fifty Pounds of lawfull money of Great Britain for her own private use and benefit to be disposed of as She shall think fit Also I give devise and bequeath unto my Brother in Law Timothy Spurrier of the said Town and County Shopkeeper and to his Son my Cousin Timothy Spurrier of the same place Gentleman and to the Survivorof them and to the Executors and Administrators of such Survivor All and singular my Lands and Tenements Goods and Chattels and all other my Estate and Effects whatsoever both Real and Personal Upon this Special Trust and Confidence only that they the said Timothy Spurrier Shopkeeper and his said Son Timothy Spurrier Gentleman and the Survivor of them and the Executors and Administrators of such Survivor do and shall permit and suffer my said wife Mary Gleed and her Assigns Peaceably and quietly to have hold use and enjoy the same and every part and parcel thereof with the Appurtenances for and during the Term of her natural life And from and immediately after her decease my Will is and I do hereby order that all my Lands Tenements and Household Goods be with all convenient speed Sold and disposed of by my Executors herein after named and the Survivor of them to and for the most and best advantage that can be made thereof And I do hereby Impower and Authorize my said Executors and the Survivor of them to sell and dispose of the same accordingly and that until such Sale shall be made the Profits of the same shall be deemed and taken to be Assetts in their Hands And my will is and I do hereby also order and direct that my said Executors or the Survivor of them do and shall with all convenient Speed after the decease of my said Wife gather and get in by all lawful ways and means all such Debts Sum and Sums of money as shall be then standing out or in any wise due owing payable or belonging to me on any Account whatsoever or that shall be Part or Parcell of my Personal Estate and that can be got and obtained And that from and after such Sale and the getting in of such Debts and Sums of money due as aforesaid my will is and I do hereby order and direct my Executors herein after named and the Survivor of them to pay divide and dispose of the whole money arising by such Sale and all and what other money shall come to the Hands of my Executors or the Survivor of them any ways belonging tome or my Estate in three equal Parts in manner following that is to say One full and equal third part thereof shall be paid to my said Son Richard Gleed One other third part thereof to my Son Thomas Gleed and the residue and remaining third part thereof I desire order and direct that my said Executors herein after named or the Survivor of them Do with all convenient speed after such Dividend made as aforesaid put and place out at Interest on good and sufficient Security or Securities and the Interest and Proceed thereof my will is shall be yearly paid and payable unto my Daughter Elizabeth the Wife of Tito Durell for and during the Term of her natural life for her only sole use and benefit seperate and apart from her said Husband Tito Durell or any future Husband that She may have and her receipt only under her Hand shall be deemed a Sufficient receipt for such Interest And from and after her decease my will is and I do hereby give and bequeath the said Share and Part of my Estate that shall be placed out at Interest for the benefit of my said Daughter as aforesaid and all such Interest as shall then be due for the same unto and among all and every of her Children that shall be living at the time of her decease share and share alike and if only one Child then I give and bequeath the said Share and all Interest due thereon to such one child And Lastly I do hereby Revoke and make void all former Wills at any time heretofore by me made and of this my last will and Testament do constitute and Appoint my said Brother in Law Timothy Spurrier and his said Son my Cousin Timothy Spurrier my Extors In Trust Provided always and it is my will that my said Executors herein before named shall at all times be Indemnified from all troubles and rembursed all manner of Costs and Charges whatsoever which they or either of them shall be put unto by reason of this my Will or the Trust herein before in them reposed and shall be accountable only for what money they and each of them shall receive and not to be accountable for any Sum or Sums of money that shall be placed out at Interest by them or either of them that shall be lost without their Default In Witness whereof I the said Testator have hereunto set my hand and Seal the six and twentieth Day of October in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and forty three V Richard Gleed ? Signed Sealed Published and Declared by the said Testator to be his last Will and Testament in the presence of the several razures and Interlineations being first made V Jno Stanworth V W Daman V T Brewer V This Will was Proved at London on the twenty first day of August in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and forty seven before the Right Worshipfull John Bettesworth Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the Oaths of Timothy Spurrier the Elder and Timothy Spurrier the Younger Executors named in the said Will to whom Administration was granted of all and singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of the deceased being first sworn by Commission duly to Administer
