In the name of God Amen
The Eleventh Day of November One Thousand Seven hundred
and nine in the Eighth year of Our Soveraigne Lady Anne
by the Grace of God Queen of Great Brittain France & Ireland
&c I John Gigger of the Towne and County of Poole Merchant
of Sond mind understanding and good Memory now by my 
owne handwriting Doe make this my last Will and Testament 
in the manner and Forme following vizt I give and bequeath 
my Soul into the hands of Almighty God my body to bee 
buried in the North Isyle of Poole Church as near as may be
to my wife and Children buryed there and as to my Worldly 
Estate comonly called reall Estate I give the One Moiety or
halfe of the Inheritance Free Rents and Profitts of those my
Dwelling Houses with the Outhouses Garden & Appurtences
lying together in Wareham in the tenure and occupation 
of Nathaniell Clarke and his Assignes from and after the 
Twenty fourth Day of June next following after my Decease 
and also one Moiety or halfe of the Inheritance Free Rents 
and Profitts of my little Dwelling House with the Garden
and Appurtenances lyeing in Wereham in the Tenure and
Occupation of Robert White or his wife from and after 
the Twenty Fourth Day of June next following after my Decease 
and alsoe One Moiety or halfe of the Inheritance Free Rents 
and profitts of my other little Dwelling House adjoining with
the Outhouse Garden and Appurteanances in Wareham in the 
tenure and Occupation of Francis Punch and other Maiden 
Spinsters from and after the Twenty ninth Day of September 
next following after my Decease and also One Moiety or
halfe of the Inheritance Free Rents and profits of my 
Plot of Garden ground in Wareham called Bushard Garden 
in or late in the tenure and occupation of Thomas Morton 
from and after the Twenty Fifth Day of March next follow-
-ing after my Decease And alsoe One Moiety or halfe of 
the Inheritance Free Rents and profitts of my halfe Lott of 


meadow ground Scituate in Inner East Moore by the South
River of Wareham (the which my Brother George Gigger
Doe Rent of mee) from and after the Twenty ninth Day of 
September next following after my Decease And also one 
Moiety or halfe of the Inheritance Free Rents and profitts of 
my Comons of Pasture belonging to my said Houses in
Wareham (now alsoe rented by my Brother George Gigger)
from and after the Twenty ninth Day of September next
following after my Decease and alsoe One Moiety or halfe 
of the Inheritance Free Rents and Profitts of my Acre of Meadow
Ground Scituate lyeing and being in West Holme Meade 
near the River (vizt the Grass of the fore shire of it now in or 
lately in the Tenure and occupation of Elias Penerell) from 
and after the First day of August next following after my
Decease and alsoe One Moiety or halfe of the Inheritance 
Free Rents and profitts of my Plott of Garden Ground up in 
Cow Street in Wareham called by the name of Gunn Garden 
(now or late in the tenure and Occupation of Edward Linington)
from and after the Twenty ninth Day of September next follow-
-ing after my Decease And alsoe One Moiety or halfe the
Right and Reversion unto South Swineham Ground being 
about Sixteen Acres part of Lower Byestwall Farme which
my Brother George Gigger Enjoys that was Settled by my late
Father on him But with Provisor Settled that if he happen
to Dye and have no Heirs living begotten of him lawfully
to enjoy South Swineham ground then it is to come to me
and my Heirs and Assignes for ever And alsoe one Moiety 
or halfe of the Twenty pound per Annum Annuall Rent
Charge (payable by my Brother George Gigger out of Lower
Byestwall Farme Clear of all Charge on the Twenty fifth
day of March yearly or in Twenty One Days after) I give 
I Say One Moiety or halfe thereof from and after the 
Second Twenty fifth Day of March that followeth after 
my Decease namely after the Second Payment payable by 
my Brother George Gigger is received by my Executrix to be wholy
to the use of my Executrix namely after the First Twenty pounds
Annuall Rent Charge and after the Second Twenty pounds annuall
Rent Charge aforesaid have been I say taken and received by
my Executrix after my Decease from and after the Second Twenty
Fifth Day of March that followeth after my Decease after my
Executrix have received Two full pays of Twenty pound each 
payment after my Decease after that time from thence forth I give
I Say One MOiety or halfe of the said Annuall Rent Charge (together)
to goe with all the former Moieties in these presents above (prticularly
as at large) in prticulers named and Specifyed I Say that all the aforesd
Moieties are together to goe with the Moietye of this Annuitye
unto the Joint use behoofe and benefitt of Anne Martin of the City of 
Bristol Widow Mary Wife of William Fitzherbert of the Parish of
Chiddrock on the county of Dorsett Joanna Dods of Bemister in the
County of Dorsett Widow and Agnis Alford Maiden Spinster (these 
being Orfants) and the Four Daughters of my late Sister Anne Alford
of my whole Bloud who Marryed with my Wifes own Brother William


Alford unto these Four Daughters of my late Sister Anne Alford
afore named (these being Orfants aforesaid) I give the Severall
Moietyes above particularly named and Specifyed in Co-heirship
unto them for their Joint use behoofe and benefitt And for the 
Joint use behoofe and benefitt of their Heirs lawfully Borne or to 
be borne of their bodyes for ever more equally to be Divided and 
Shared Amongst them and their said Heirs for evermore And 
the other Moietye or halfe of all the prticulars above named and
Specifyed I give and bequeath imediately after my Decease unto
my Daughter Anne the Wife of John Rogers to the only use behoofe 
and benefitt of her the said Anne Rogers my daughter for and
dureing the whole time and Terme of her naturall life and unto
the use behoofe and benefitt of her Heirs borne of her body (or to
be borne) if any happen to be living at the time of her Decease 
the same to remaine and goe unto such the living Heirs of her 
body for Evermore And in Default of living Heirs borne or her 
body If such Default be either att or any time else whatsoever 
after the Death and Decease of my said Daughter Then to Descend
and goe as all the former Moietyes in these prsents above in
prticulars named and Specifyed vizt unto the Joint use behoofe 
and benefitt of Ann Martin aforesaid Mary Wife of William
Fitzherbert aforesaid Joanna Dods aforesaid and Agnis Alford 
aforesaid in Co-Heirshipp unto them equally to be Divided amongst 
them for their Joint use behoofe and benefitt And equally 
Divided amongst their Heirs for the Joint use behoofe & benefitt 
of their Heirs lawfully borne or to be borne of their bodyes for
Ever more Then likewise as concerning my Personall Estate I give 
my Seale Gold Ring unto my Cousin William Cock and the leser
of my Mourning Rings unto Cousin William Cocks Wife and the
bigger of my Mourning Rings unto my Son in Law John Rogers 
and all my wearing Apparell and the bigger of my Rings round
hooped smooth with a Posie in it I give to Anne Martin aforesd
as a prticuler marke of my kindness and I give my great Silver 
Bear Bowle unto Agnis Alford aforesaid as a prticuler marke of my
Love and kindness to her and moreover I Order my Executrix to
buy Three new Gold Rings One for my Brother George Gigger one
for his Wife and One for my namesake Nephew John Gigger 
all the rest of my Personall Estate in the World I give & bequeath 
unto my said Daughter Anne Rogers whom I make my whole and 
Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament revokeing all
other wills formerly made Shee paying all my Debts & Funerall
Expences Item as concerning my House in Poole I bequeath 
my Right imediately after my Decease my Right in the Free of
my said House in Poole unto the only use behoofe and benefitt 
of her the said Anne Rogers my Daughter for and dureing the
whole time and terme of her naturall life And unto the use 
behoofe and benefitt of her Heirs borne or to be borne of her
body for Ever more if any happen to be living at the time of 
her Decease And in Default of such living Heirs borne of Her 
owne body if such Default be either at or at any time after 
Death and Decease of my said Daughter Then (only) to remaine 
unto the use behoofe and benefitt of my Son in law John Rogers


For and Dureing the time and terme of his naturall life & afterwards
to Descend and goe unto the use and behoofe & benefitt of my name
Sake Nephew John Gigger of Wareham and his Heirs for Ever 
more In wittness whereof I have hereunto Sett my hand & Seale 
the Day and year First above written And I pray my Cousin 
William Cock and my Cousin William Fitzherbert to see this 
my Will performed  Jno Gigger  Sealed and Delivered
Published and Declared this to be my Last Will and Testament 
in presence of Abra Smith Timothy Bird Dorothy Bird
