This is the last Will
and Testament of me Mary Filliter of Wareham in
the County of Dorset Widow and Relict of William
Filliter late of Wareham aforesaid Gentleman



deceased  made and published this twenty eighth Day
of September in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven
hundred and eighty one as follows that is to say 
whereas my Dear and ever lamented Husband the said
William Filliter in and by his last will and Testament
in writing bearing Date the twenty eighth Day of October
in the year of our Lord on thousand Seven hundred
and Seventy two Did give and Devise unto me all that
his close or piece of Meadow Ground which he had
then lately Purchased in Fee of Thomas Erl Drax
Esquire situate in the Parish of Morden in the County 
of Dorset near Wareham North Bridge and then late
called or known by the name of Chaldecott Meadow and
also all that his new inclosed plott of ground containing
about h?lf an acre lying near a Spring of water called
Walters Well in the parish of Morden aforesaid and
adjoining to a close of Glebe Land belonging to the
Rectory of Saint Martin in Wareham aforesaid with
full power for my ????? last will and Testament in
writing or by any Deed in writing to be by me executed
in the presence of three or more credible witnesses to give
Devise limitt or apoint the said Close or piece of 
Meadow Ground and the new inclosed plot of Ground
after my Decease unto and amongst such one or more
of my     and his children for such Estate and Estates
and in such manner as I should think fit Now I the
said Mary Filliter by virtue of the power in me vested
by the said receited will of my said Husband Do give and
Devise the said close or piece of meadow Ground and new
inclosed plott of Ground unto George Filliter of Wareham
aforesaid atterney at Law my younger Son by my said
Husband William Filliter To hold to him the said George
Filliter and the Heirs of his Body lawfully begotten or to be
begotten and In Default of such Issue of the Body of
the said George Filliter then it is my will intent and
meaning that the said close or peice of Meadow Ground
and new inclosed plott of Ground shall go to and be
had held and enjoyed by Ann    Filliter Widow and
Mary Filliter Spinster my Daughters by my said late
Husband William Filliter their Heirs and assigns for ever
and whereas my Dear and ever lamented Husband
William Filliter Did and by his said last will and
Testament give Devise and bequeath unto me his
Leasehold Messuage or Dwelling House in Wareham aforesaid
then in his and now in my own occupation with the outhouses
courts yards Gardens Hereditaments and appurtenances
thereto belonging and also his Leasehold Messuage or
Dwelling House thereto adjoining with the Hereditaments
and appurtenances thereto belonging then in the occupation
of John Smith and now in the occupation of Nathaniel
B??tland Junr together with all other his Leasehold Lands
and Gardens in Wareham aforesaid for and during



?? many years of his respective Terms therein as
should run out and expire during my life time with
full power for me by my last will and testament in
writing or by any Deed in writing to be by me executed
in the presence of two or more credible witnesses to give
Devise limitt or appoint the said Leasehold premises
to such one or more of his and my children as I should
think fit and whereas my said late Dear Husband
William Filliter in and by a Codicil to his said last
will and testament bearing Date the twenty third Day
of November in the year of our Lord on thousand
Seven hundred and Seventy two after writing therein
as herein before is last worded or to that or the like
Effect Did give devise and bequeath all and every the
said Leasehold Messuages or Dwelling Houses Outhouses
Courts Yards Gardens and Premises unto me my
Executors administrators and assigns absolutely for
and during the remainder of his Several and
respective Terms therein To the intent that I may Sell
the same or such part thereof as i should think fit
and apply the Monies arising by such sale to my
own use Now I the said Mary Filliter Do hereby give
Devise and bequeath all and every the said Leasehold
messuages or Dwelling Houses Outhouses Courts Yards
Gardens and Premises with the appurtenances so as
aforesaid given Devised and bequeathed by my said
Husband to use unto his and my Son the said George 
Filliter To hold the same and every part thereof unto
the said George Filliter his Executors admors and assigns
for and during the remainder of the Several and
respective Term and Terms of years therein Severally
and respectively to come and unexpire at my Decease
Provided always nevertheless and it is my will and
meaning and I do hereby Direct and declare that in
case the said George Filliter shall Die without Issue
then and in such case happening all and every the
Leasehold Messuages or Dwelling Houses Outhouses Courts
Yards Gardens and Appurtenances shall go to and
be had held and enjoyed by the said Ann Filliter and
Mary Filliter my said daughters their Executors 
administrators and assigns for and during the remainder
of the Several and respective Term and Terms of Years
therein and whereas my said late dear and ever
lamented Husband William Filliter in and by his
said last will and Testament gave and bequeathed
unto me all his Household Goods Linnen Plate and
other Household Furniture with full power for me to
give and dispose of the same at or before my decase
amongst his and my children as I shoudl think fit
Now I the said Mary Filliter by virtue of the power
in me vested by the said recited will of my said
Husband Do give bequeath and dispose of the same



in the manner following that is to say First I give and
bequeath unto my Grand Son George Filliter the
younger Son of the said George Filliter my said Son
a Silver half pint cup marked AP PM and also his
Grand father my said late Husbands Silver watch
and I give and bequeath unto my Grand Daughter
Mary Filliter Daughter of the said George Filliter my
said Son ^ the Silver Tankard marked G * F two holland       ^ a two handled Silver        * E also I give and bequeath
Sheets (one marked G F and the other M C nine                  Candle Cup marked M C         unto the said George
Napkin and a Table Cloath marked G F and also one                                            Filliter my said son
pair Looking Glass either that in the Gest Chamber or
that in the parlour of my Dwelling House in Wareham
aforesaid as he and his Sister the said Ann Filliter and
Mary Filliter shall agree on and also one Gold Ring
marked A T also I give and bequeath unto the said
Ann Filliter and Mary Filliter my said Daughters all
the rest and Residue of the said plate and Linnen
not otherwise herein before given or Disposed of and also
all the China and Earthen wares also I give and bequeath
unto the said George Filliter my said Son the two 
Family pictures in the Hall of my Dwelling House
aforesaid and as to for and concerning all other the said
Household Goods and other Household Furniture not
herein before given or otherwise disposed of I give and
bequeath such part and parts thereof as the said
Ann Filliter and Mary Filliter                my
said Daughters may make choice of or have occasion
for unto them my said Daughters the said Ann
Filliter and Mary Filliter and the Surplus Residue
and Remainder thereof I give and bequeath unto the
said George Filliter my said Son and whereas my said
late Dear and ever lamented Husband the said William
Filliter in and by his said last Will and Testament gave
and bequeathed unto me all his ready Money and securities for money and
all the Residue and Remainder of his personal Estate
not thereinbefore given for my benefit and advantage
during my life with full power for me give and dispose
of the same at my decease unto and amongst my and
his Children in such proportions as I should think
proper and which by their Dutifull Behaviour to use
I should think most deserving of it and in case I should
not make any Gift or Disposition thereof then it was his
will and he thereby directed that the Sum of four
hundred pounds part thereof should at my Decease
go to and be had and received by his and my said
Daughter Mary and the further Sum of Four hundred
pounds other part thereof by his and my said 
Daughter Ann
and th?? the Residue of such Monies and personal Estate
should go and be equally Divided unto and between
his and my Son William and his and my said Son
George and whereas by virtue of certain inde???d



articles of agreement of fourt parts bearing Date the Sixth
Day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand
Seven hundred and Seventy five and made on the 
Marriage of teh said Ann my said Daughter with
Francis Filliter her late Husband deceased my said
Daughter is or may be intitled to have and ?????the Sum of
two hundred pounds now in my hands part of the said
Sum of Four hundred pounds so as aforesaid given
and bequeathed to her the said Ann by the said
recited will of her Father and my said late Husband
William Filliter Now I the said Mary Filliter by Virtue
of the power in me vested by the said recited will of
my said Husband do hereby give ratify and confirm
unto the said Mary my said Daughter the said Sum
of four hundred pounds
                          as aforesaid given and
bequeathed to her          by the will of her said
late Father and my said late Husband William Filliter
also I do hereby give ratify and confirm unto the said
Ann my said daughter the said Sum of two hundred
pounds now in my hands part of the said Sum of four hundred pounds so as aforesaid given and bequeathed to her
the said Ann by the Will of her said late Father and my said late Husband William
Filliter and given up to and  settled on her the said Ann
on her Marriage as aforesaid and also the Sum of
two hundred pounds residue of the said Sum of Four
hundred pounds given and bequeathed to her by the
said will of her said late Father
and my said late Husband William Filliter and as to
for and concerning all the Rest Residue and Remainder
of such Monies and personal Estate after payment of the
said Four hundred pounds and two hundred pounds
and two hundred pounds unto the said Mary Filliter
and Ann Filliter my said Daughters I give bequeath and
dispose thereof as follows that is to say I give and bequeath
the Sum of three hundred pounds part thereof unto
the said George Filliter my said Son Subject to and
chargeable nevertheless ??ch the weekly payment to the
said William my Elder Son by my said late Husband
William Filliter herein after mentioned and expressed
and the Residue thereof I give and bequeath ???? the
said Ann Filliter and Mary Filliter my said Daughters
to be equally Divided between them Subject and chargeable
with the payment of my Debts and Funeral Expences
also I give and bequeath unto the said William Filliter
my said Son the weekly Sum of Four Shillings to be
paid him weekly and every week by the said George
Filliter my said Son his Executors and administrators
from the Day of my Decease for and during the Term
of his natural life provided always nevertheless and it
is my express Intent will and meaning and I do hereby 
direct and declare that the said Weekly payment or
Sum of Four Shillings shall not be paid the said



said William Filliter my said Son unless he return to
Wareham and resides there or within twenty Miles thereof
and in indigent and necessitous circumstances and really
has occasion for the same and it is also my express intent
will and meaning and I do hereby direct and declare
that in case the said William Filliter my said Son shall be intitled to leave and
receive the said weekly payment or Sum of Four Shillings
and shall in any way or manner assign transfer Sell
or Dispose of the same or any part thereof and shall not receive the same and every part thereof in his
own proper person then and in such cases happening
the said weekly payment or Sum of Four Shillings shall
cease and Discontinue to be paid him and I do hereby release
and acquit the said George Filliter my said Son
his Executors and administrators from the payment
thereof and every part thereof from thenceforth
accordingly and it is likewise my Express Intent will
and meaning and I do hereby direct and declare
that the receipt and Receipts of the said William
Filliter my said Son only and of no other person
whatsoever shall be to the said George Filliter his
Executors and administrators good and proper Discharge
and Discharges for the said Weekly payment or Sum
of Four Shillings and it is further my express intent
will and meaning and I do hereby direct and declare 
that in case the said William Filliter my said Son
shall Succeed or be intitled to an Estate at Morden
aforesaid now or late in the occupation of John J???t
Junr by virtue of and under the will of his Grand
Father George Filliter heretofore Morden aforesaid
Gentlemen Deceased or otherwise then and in such
case happening the said weekly payment or Sum of
Four Shillings shall discontinue and not be paid
him and I do hereby          release acquitt and
discharge the said George Filliter my said Son his
Executors and administrators from the payment
thereof from thenceforth accordingly and as to for
and concerning all such Goods Chattels Plate Linnen
Monies and other Effects as I may have acquired
since the Decease of my said late Husband William Filliter
together with my Rings and wearing apparel of every
Sort and kind i give and bequeath the same as follows

that is to say i give unto Mary wife of the ???? ????
George Filliter my said Son the Mourning Ring which
her said Husband gave me on the Death of his said
late Father and my said late Husband William Filliter
and also the ?atent Fa?? given me by her said
Husband George Filliter and all the Residue and
Remainder of such Goods Ch????els plate Linnen
Monies and other Effects Rings and wearing apparel
I give and bequeath unto the said Ann Filliter and Mary Filliter
my said Daughters equally to be divided between them and
subject also and chargeable



with the payment of my Debts and Funeral Expences and
lastly I do make nominate constitute and appoint the said
George Filliter my said Son and the said Ann Filliter 
and Mary Filliter my said Daughters Joint Executor and
Executrixes of this my last will and Testament hereby revoking
and making void all former and other will and
Testament Wills and Testaments by me at any time heretofore made and declaring
this and this only to be my whole last will and Testament
In Testimony whereof I have to this my last will and 
Testament contained in three Sheets of paper to each of
which I have set my hand and to this last affixed my Seal
set my hand and Seal the day and year first above

last will and Testament in the presence of us whose
names are hereunder written who at her request in her
presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto

This Will was proved at London the twenty first
Day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven
hundred and eighty eight before the most Reverend
Father in God John by Divine Providence Lord Archbishop
of Canterbury Primate of all England and Metropolitan
in his prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully appointed
by the Oaths of George Filliter the Son and Mary Filliter
and Ann Filliter Spinster the Daughters of the deceased
and the Executors named in the said will to whom
administration was granted of all and Singular the
Goods Chattels and Credits of the said Deceased having been
first Sworn by Commission duly to administer
