In the Name of God Amen
I James Elisha of the City Road in the Parish of Saint Luke Old
Street in the County of Middlesex Gentleman being in health of body but
of sound mind memory and understanding Praised by Almighty God for



the same do make and declare this my last will and
Testament in manner and form following that is to say I give
and bequeath unto Jane Mitchell formerly residing with my
late Daughter Mary Pike at Enfield one Annuity or Yearly Sum
of ten Pounds for and during the term of her natural life the
payment of which said Annuity to be made on the Quarterly
or Usual Days for Payment of Rents the first Payment to be made
on such of the first of such days as shall happen next after my
decease And from and immediately after the death of the said
Jane Mitchell I give and bequeath unto James Mitchell her Son
the Sum of one hundred Pounds if he shall be living at the
time of my decease Also I give & bequeath unto George Elisha
now residing with me the Sum of ten Pounds and also all the
Scaffolding Ladders Boards Loose Bricks Mortar Lum and
utensils as shall be in use and employed in the way of my Trade
as a Bricklayer at the time of my death Also I give and bequeath unto
Charles Pike of the Bank Nephew of my late Son in Law Frederick
Pike deceased the Sum of two hundred Pounds Also I give and
bequeath unto my Servant Elizabeth Withers if living with me
at the time of my decease the Sum of fifty Pounds Also I give
unto my Executors hereinafter named the Sum of ten Pounds each
for the trouble they may have in the performance and execution of
this my Will Also I give and bequeath all those my eight
Pieces or Parcels of Freehold Land with the Messuages or
Tenements with their Appurts situate in Golden Lane in the
Parish of Saint Luke in the County of Middlesex and now in
the tenure or occupation of my eight several Tenants Holmes
Wilson Waldon Hill Villers Webber Roberts and Bywater
Also my six Pieces or Parcels of Freehold Ground with the Messuages
or Tenements with their & every of their Appurts situate in Black
Swann Court Golden Lane aforesaid Also All that my Freehold Piece or
Parcels of Land and Messuages or Tenements and Appurts thereto
situate in White Cross Street in the Parish of Saint Luke aforesaid
and now in the tenure or occupation of my Tenant Smith Also my
Freehold House called the Holy Well and Prems with the Appurts thereto
situate in Shoreditch Also my Freehold House and Prems with the Appurts
thereto belonging which House is No 169 and situate in Shoreditch aforsd
now in the occupation of my Tenant Weller Also all that my Leasehold
House and Prems situate in Burying Ground Chequer Alley Bunhill
Row and now in the occupation of my Tenant Stanley Also all those
my two Leasehold Houses situate in the City Road in the Parish of Saint
Luke aforesaid one of which is in my own occupation and the other in
the occupation of Markey the House in my own occupation I hold upon
a Lease of Sixty one Years All which Freehold and Leasehold Houses
and Prems with their Appurts I give and bequeath unto my Grandson
John Pike and my four Granddaughters Maria Pike Sarah Pike Louisa
Pike and Sophia Pike their Heirs Exors or Admors to be equally divided
amongst them Share & Share alike All the rest residue and remr
of my Property Real & Personal wheresoever the same may be situate
I give and bequeath unto my said Grandson and my said four
Grand daughters to be equally divided amongst them ^ And I nominate		^ share & share alike
constitute and appoint my said Grandson John Pike and my said
Grand daughters Maria Pike & Sarah Pike Executors of this my Will
hereby revoking all former and other Will and Wills by me at any time
heretofore made I do declare this to be my last Will and Testament
In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this



nineteenth day of January in the year of our Lord 1814  James

presence of us who in his presence at his request and in the presence
of each other have subscribed our Names as Witnesses thereto

Proved at London 15th July 1816 before the Worshipful Richard
Henry Crosswell Doctor of Laws & Surrogate by the Oaths of John Frederick
(in the Will written John) Pike the Grandson and Sarah Charlotte (in
the Will written Sarah) Pike Spinster the Grand Daughter two of the Exors
to whom Admon was granted having been first sworn duly to admr 
Power reserved to Maria Pike Spinster the Grand daughter the other
Executors
